I went to Wal-mart today to buy the stuff for Zaven's birthday party on Saturday. I had trouble finding what I wanted, and it was around noon so I knew Zoe and Quinn were hungry. So I bought stuff they could snack on in the shopping cart. I got string cheese and they also cracked into the fruit-by-the-foot I'd gotten. So I KNOW that Quinn wasn't hungry. But anyhow, after wal-mart I decided to stop by the redbox that's at McDonalds and buy a copy of Bolt for Zoe. They sell their used DVDs for $7 and she's graduating from pre-school tomorrow and I wanted to get her a treat. She gets a little allowance also and has $4 saved up so I asked if she wanted to spend it on that and of course she did. It's her favorite movie. Besides it's raining and I figured it would keep them happy until I got a real lunch fixed.

So when I left the McDonald's parking lot Quinn started throwing a fit. He was screaming all the rest of the way home because I didn't buy him food. He didn't ask or say please, just started screaming. And like I said, he'd just had a huge snack. So I just let him cry and told him that I would be fixing him food that he loves once we got home. So we got home 15 minutes later and he didn't want me to unbuckle him from his car seat. I'm thinking he was under the impression that if he didn't leave the car I'd eventually take him back to McDonalds. So he's screaming and hitting and kicking my hands but I take him out anyway. So finally he shouts "Juice!" and I realize that he actually could be thirsty. I usually get him juice if we eat McDonalds. So I told him I'd pour him some juice and he starts calming down. I carry him inside, get a sippy and the juice, set him down and start pouring. And he smacked the open cup out of my hand and dumped the juice in it all over him and me and my clothes and my chair and the floor.

He is now in his room playing quietly. I put him in his crib but he can climb out. However he is staying in the room and I'm going to say that's good enough. I told Zoe he could come out after I change clothes and mop the juice up and put the food away and fix lunch. So she's gone in there with him to keep him happy and stay out of my way, which is a very good idea given the mood I'm now in.

OK. Vent over. I have to clean up.

Oh man, Rylan did that to me last night and of course got milk in and on the stupid DVD player Rob left on the table (I told him 10 times to put it somewhere and I flat out refuse to do it, cause if I move the damn thing it's going in the trash) and me and the dog and under the cabinet. At least he's playing quietly, I have NO idea what that is like, lol. Hope your day improves.

I've only bought a few because you can't return them, but I haven't had one that didn't play.
