VENT VENT VENT!!!!!

OK guys sorry to do this but I need to vent -I have been having a really rough couple a days!! So here goes (LOL)

I work 2 jobs the Salon and at the high school as a lunch lady I work about oh lets say about 70 plus hours a week --- That I can deal with but the last few days have been awful--I have been having a ton of dental work done I had 2 root canals at 2 thousand a pop for each tooth now that is with dental ins the cost then on Halloween -one of my teeth broke not cool( a back molar) so I made a appt to have it pulled and screwed up the date and missed it since I am so busy-- so I had to wait a month -- so on thursday -I had it pulled 11 stitches later and 17 shots of novacane and the dentist had to go back in since he left a small part in gum-- I could have freaked out since even my brain was numb by then--then he tells me I can't get an implant until the spring until the bone heals now an implant is 4 thousand and dental does not cover and implant. I hate taking any type of pills so after I just went to bed and took the antibyotic(SP) - I refuse to take pain killers since i like to feel in control at all times. So I had to be at the School at 9: 30 am on friday and I only work there 3 hours a day but I run the cash register and the high school kids are rude and need there mouth washed out with soap to tell you the truth. so anyway at someone took my parking spot which happens 4 out of the 5 days that I work .. So i pulled in another parking spot and went off to work will still a numb skull(lol) no word of a lie --I come out of work and there is a red car parked the long way in front of my car so I can't get out --now you would think one of the janitors would have noticed that --god forbid --so the guy that takes care of the vending machines got my car out it took him a half of hour and there calling the kid on the intercom of course he is taking he sweet time thinking it is funny so just as the guy gets my car out he shows and starts laughing now this is a 17 year old kid and starts calling me a million swear words --so to make a long story short he is now suspended for 4 days -- there is no respect from kids today.. So then I have to go to the Salon and I worked until 11pm since my co-worker is out having surgery. Now Saturday I have to be in the Salon at 7am to do her little old ladies which there cute and all- but was not in the mood mean while the side of my face is all swollen and I could have puked -worked until 7pm now at this point I took a pain killer and was feeling mighty fine --so my girl freinds begged me to go to to Foxwoods the Casino in Ct which is only 40 mins away so they meet me at the Salon and I drove so they could have a couple of drinks --I went had a ok time and lost 7 dollars not a big deal --now it is 2am I am now pissed since my girlfriend does not want to leave and it starts to snow and at this point it's a white out -- I ended up getting lost missed the exit to get back on 395 and went 16 miles out of my way in the back roads of CT -at 15 miles per hour no gps since My lovely hubby never puts it in his car (since he is so darn afraid someone is going to steel it (so what was the point of me buying it) SO I ended up getting back on 395 on a prayer can't see anything now there is about 9 cars ahead of me and we are down to about 10 miles per hour and the head of line of cars is a old caddy ( and were going up a hill) when you go up a hill in the snow you have to have a steady pace- he stops everyone starts sliding my friends are screaming in my car (now I am driving my hubby sports car) we slide big time thank god I hit no-one everyone else put me crashed and I just slid right by them ... sideways ... Yes sideways --now while this is happening my girlfriend dianne is screaming I could have punched her!!! I made it up the hill pull the car over to the side of the road get out -light a but and call my Hubby -- and of course no signal on the cell --by this point I have iclcels (sp) on my eyelashes(LOL) and I am pacing fuming my face was throbbing and death would have been a better option -no word of a lie... I got back in the car and it took me 5 and half hours to get home since the roads were so bad and a camero slid 3 cars in front of me and here we go again missed him and the 1 other car--we finally get back into Ma and Guess what the roads are perfect and now by husband is calling asking where I am (LOL)!!! Oh the horror (LOL) -- so I have slept for a hour since at this point I am so over tired and can't sleep and had to work on my Pj drive since next week I have to deliver to the shelters -- So I have been sorting all day inbetween taking my daughter to the chain of lights and watching her outdoor Xmas concert (she is in the School band) and It's not like I am going to miss it since I was a fool going to the casino in the 1st place -- then My son broke his glasses and have to be at walmart at 9am to get those fixed and be at work at 10 am --but on a good note-- I have to say after that I have no fear of driving through a snow storm -living where I live I always have to drive in the snow since the Salon is 30 mins from my house--but if there was a storm coming I have always cancelled my appts--you would be surprised how many people trek out just to get here hairdone (LOL) So that was my lovely weekend hope yours was better!! Sorry for venting !!!

Sharon you need some time off. Understatement, I know. I can relate to so many of your issues, and I'm sorry they all piled on you at once. It makes me appreciate my laid-back weekend of getting out Christmas decorations and catcing up on my ironing all the more.

Geez, you need to take time off, take a long hot bath, and sleep for a day ot two!
I spent the weekend running Bnut to grandma's, in Houston, meeting MIL to get her yesterday, and then DH makes me feel guilty because he did all kinds of work while i was gone and I was not here to help him......

I would have been terrified. I am so, so sorry that you're having such awful teeth problems, and I have been through some of that, too, so I know what an awful feeling it is. But OMG the sliding sideways would have made me pee my pants!

I understand the teeth part all too well. When they pulled my wisdom tooth- many years ago- it shattered. There were lots of pieces left in my gums, every now and then one works the way to the surface and comes out. My hubby needs his removed but we can;t find a surgeon who will touch them- they are growing upside down into his jaw, not out.

So sorry it was such an awful weekend.

LOL I wish there was a way I could post his xrays and show you. It's freaky to see, everyone is like

Oh and apparently it is a family trait.... my MIL and nephew both had surgery to remove teeth growing in the middle of the roof of their mouths, so hubby may be the lucky one. They get infected every now and then but three different oral surgeons have told him that if they are removed he will likely lose feeling in his jaw and the damage could be worse than it is now. I would still trade teeth with him in a heartbeat.

Tara, I used to work for an oral surgery practice. I had the good bloody job of chairside assisting, which I loved, and you just never knew what you'd find. ( btw, heredity plays a huge part in your teeth. I had NO wisdom teeth, while my husband had all 4. One of our boys ended up with 3 wisdom teeth and the other didn't have any. )

I have seen some real challenges, and some freaky things too, like instead of having one tooth there may be all sorts of them forming and growing where they shouldn't be, and horribly enough, some pockets that contained bits of tooth and hair that probably resulted from a twin who was resorbed during gestation. And Sharon, you would not believe the number of times we had to stay late because a general dentist tried to perform a difficult extraction or root canal that went bad and the patient had to be sent over. It was always at the end of the day when the dentist finally realized that he was in over his head and it was getting dangerously close to closing time.

I have had my wisdom teeth pulled when I was like 18 and they were impacked --If i remember right --I don't think it was that bad-- I did have 6 pulled when I had braces when I was 16- But on Thursday that was brutal.. This has happened to me. My dentist and I had it planned to remove my two bottom wisdom teeth in the same appointment so that I would be done and over with. Well, he started on my left side and the tooth just would not come out. He actually ended up only breaking it in half, and realized that he could not do it (mind you, I had been sitting in the chair for over an hour while he tried to get it out). So he sent me down the road to a surgeon. Finally about an hour later the guy got it out. He was kinda rude about things, but hey, I would have preferred to have not waited until the novacaine was almost gone like he did!

I still have that other one, as I never got a chance to make a second appointment before moving away. It bothers me some, so when i get my car, I am making an appointment to get it removed.

Oh, and within 3 days of all that, I had to start a new position in a new store. I was so nervous, cause I was already getting a slight special treatment from a broken ankle a month prior, and not having to wear dress shoes.
