I can not wait until I have a car!! (vent)

Today was a big day at school. They were gonna make gingerbread houses. Parents were gonna stay and help. Or at least a few were. I planned to stay. Heck, I even went and bought a few things to help out!

11:30 am rolls around and Timmy and I are all bundled up as we wait for our ride. We went outside for a little bit... It's 11:38 am and Timmy is supposed to start school in 2 minutes. I get worried and call my ride. Goes straight to voicemail, so I leave a message, and then shoot off a text soon after... and then head in to wait, cause it is cold!

11:45 am comes and I know we were stood up. I try calling again, and it goes to voicemail. I am in tears by now. 11:50 am, call Timmy's school to tell them what happened. I am ANGRY now. And hurt, and upset... I was looking forward to today SO much! I was excited! I had his backpack full of stuff to decorate it with, and even made sure to put something for me to drink while I was at school in the bag. Made him a lunch, as I was gonna eat his buy lunch, since he wouldn't. (I pay the same amount even if all he gets is the milk, so I would have given him what he will eat, and I eat what he doesn't.) I had it all planned. Got proper sleep and everything.

I get a call around 12:15 pm from my ride. She is also a Mom who has a child in Timmy's class... she was supposed to stay too. I was on the phone with my Mom crying about everything, so it went to voicemail. No explanation really but "Sorry! I will call you later!" and something about her SO coming home at 2 am.

UGH. I am hoping that I can get things going tomorrow. We found a car, now we just have to get it.

I am starting to feel a little better. Tim promised that he will buy us one of the Gingerbread house kits, plus Tim's Mom mailed us some arts and crafts things to do. Will do that with him this weekend. Maybe tonite while Tim is at work.

It sucks that your ride bailed on you, was Timmy awfully upset? Poor kid, he will enjoy a gingerbread house!

We did teh gingerbread houses yesterday, it was fun. I am so sorry you missed it Missy. Although from the kids I saw, better you both missed it than Timmy be the kid without a helper I felt so bad for the three in Saige's class with no mom/dad/grandparent to help. The teacher and aide helped but it was fairly obvious they were upset that everyone else's mom was there. I also feel bad for their parents though too because most likely they couldn't take off of work.

Thanks all. I am just really angry because she had sent me a text message early this morning. Around 8 am- one of those chain mail things. But nothing about how she will not take him to school. That is what gets me really mad. I have put gas in her car and bought her kids and her food. I did not have to put gas in the car AND take them to BK to eat!! I have babysat for her kids without asking for anything. All I asked for is to get my son to school. It's not like she is driving out of her way either, as she has to drive past my house in order to take her kid to school too.

Can't do the arts and crafts as I do not have glue, but I will get some at one point tomorrow. The neighbor has plans, but she is going to try and get done with enough time to take us to the dealership. If not, we are gonna see what we can do. But I will be calling another Mom to see if she can take us next week.
