My Points Account Frozen Empty My Points Account Frozen

Anyone out there had their My Points account frozen because there are 2 bzzagents in the house using the same address? If so, were you successful in unfreezing the accounts? Thanks

My Mom and Step-Dad both have accounts that are the same address.

I have hesitated in letting my fiance put our address on his for now, because I do not want it frozen. When he has earned enough to get a GC I think we will figure something out.

oh babyduckie, I am SOOO sorry.. We told bzzagent this was going to be a problem and they swore it wouldnt. Even my points swears they wouldnt. Sad

could one of you use a Post Office address to solve the problem? I don't know if that is allowed - or have the mypoints mail go to a family member's house?

that is really interesting to me since my husband and i have both had MyPoints accounts for years and have never had an issue with using the same address. I wouldn't have even thought about it as a potential issue.

I had real trouble signing up. Apparentlly, years ago I had signed up using the autofill on our computer. It was at our old e-mail addy and in Scott's name, but the same address. When I tried to sign up during shaloha, it froze the account. I couldn't figure out what was going on. Then someone mentioned that it would sometime freeze accounts if there were two people in the same house. So I tried signing in with my old e-mail addy and the password I use for non-money sites. It worked. I figured I'd close that account so I could open one up in my name. No go. It will ONLY work from that account. I had to update the e-mail and get used to it calling me Scott. But at least I didn't try to transfer my BzzPoints automatically. If I had, I wouldn't have been able to access them. I set up the account first, realized there was a problem, and then finally ended up transferring my BzzPoints to the old account.

My housemate, another female, has a Mypoints account. With, of course, the same address. We have had no problems so far. And we better not. I would raise holy heck with them.

This does suck..both accounts are frozen..i think its because she cashed out and i cashed out at the same time triggering something at My Points that froze us..now Bzz Agent isn't even responding to OUR emails..is almost been a week..I'm going to try emailing My Points at memberservices@mypoints.com ..I have over 50,000 pts in my account and I am very upset about this..does anyone have a phone number to My Points customer service?

Here is a copy of their relevant Terms of Service. It says only that you must have only one member per account and that one person per account/email basically. So two separate people with two separate EMAIL accounts having the same physical address is within their terms of service and should be irrelevant. BTW, my significant other and myself (the person I mentioned before) have both cashed out from MyPoints on the same day before with no problem. I know, because I'm the one who took care of doing it for her while she was at work that day!

<<<Only individuals 18 years or older and residing in the U.S. and Canada may enroll in the MyPoints Program and become Members. MyPoints reserves the right to prevent access to the Program and the MyPoints website from IP addresses outside of the U.S. and Canada.

Corporations or other business entities are not eligible to become Members.

MyPoints membership and its right to use is limited to one individual per MyPoints account.

MyPoints.com allows only one email address per Member. >>>

Thank you Maggie for the number. Bzz Agent finally responded to my emails, maybe because they saw what I had written here..who knows..but they said its out of their hands gave me the memberservices email address and said that sometimes they freeze accounts for reasons other than multiple accounts in the same address..so here I go to see if I can find out what happened. Thanks for everyones' help and comments.

You're welcome but I think you'd have a better chance to figure out what's wrong and get your account back if you call them. You'd have to do it tomorrow though.
Sometimes companies just don't respond to emails that well...
