Zach's birthday cake!
Today was Zach's 4th birthday party, and my sister volunteered to make the cake since he really wanted a Toy Story cake and none of the stores here made one. This is the first cake she tried like this (or any cake that did not involve regular icing and tips and that hasn't been for at least 15 years). The fondant turned out wonderful (thanks Chelle for the recipe) and everyone loved it!
Thanks for looking.

And he must have loved the cake! Tell your sis she did great!
I think we need to sticky the fondant recipe up in the Chit Chat forum. Who's with me?

Re: Zach's birthday cake!
The "fence" was supposed to be done with fondant, but she just wasn't able to do it, so she used wafer cookies instead. The back had some patch work since she wasn't used to the sizing she needed, and used too small of pieces, but it turned out fantastic! When she did the patches in the back, she never thought that when it would be time for him to blow out the candles, the back of the cake would be in the pictures, but oh well. Even the with the patches in the back it still looked great (and tasted fantastic as well).
Zach loved the cake! He actually picked it out and I sent the picture to my sister of what he wanted. Out of all his presents (almost everything Toy Story), he wanted to play with the toys from the cake first.
