My connection is too slow to load the photos, but I'm sure it looks a lot li ke what I see out my windows right now. On Friday I had to drive to my sister's house to go to her Leverage House Party, and instead of taking me just under an hour it took more like an hour and a half. I went through one really bad area where it was like a whiteout and speeds were about 20 mph, and I-75 was averaging 45-50 mph.

The 1st pic was of the snow up to the front bumper of my school bus.
The 2nd one was of the snow 8" up the door frame of the back door of our home.

That is just crazy! If it snowed like that here it would be a national emergency....my kids have never seen more than a few flurries.

Please believe me when I say this is NOT fun!!
My bf & I just spent the last hour getting my car moved so that he could plow the yard, just incase there is school tomorrow. If I knew for sure that there wasn't, I would just say phukk it.
This is just so depressing. I know it is pretty to look at but it is awful if you have to go out and drive in it.

Erin, my BF moved to Texas a few years ago. Her first sign of Texas snow she called me and told me everything was shut down for a flurry. We laughed and laughed. I guess, unless you live in the North, you can not appreciate how funny it is. You can spot Southern drivers a mile away when there is snow.... they are the ones doing 5mph and it isn't even sticking yet.

Where I live, the city schools keep going until there are at least a few inches on the ground, but the county schools shut down if there's a hint of it sticking to a road. That sounds strange, but in reality, they need to. There's not much of a budget for road salt or plows, so they only work to keep the main roads open. The rural bus routes can get dangerously slick and icy with just a little snow.

And that scares me because the person that has been driving Timmy and I to school is from Alabama and never really saw snow before. Not like it is up here! And to top it all off, she isn't the best of drivers. Almost got us into an accident on Halloween. Another reason why I have been trying so hard to get a car as soon as possible. lol

LOL, it is cold but actually the snow is a good thing, sure beats when it's too cold to snow. I love snow, but I hate the cold.

We got snow this morning!!! But it is basically gone now.



I didn't feel like getting up this morning, I was snug on the couch and oh so sleepy- but that is the worst we got today. Which is NOTHING! I expect us to have more snow by next week though.

missy, looked like it was too cold for you to venture outside to take the pics i know that feeling. the few times we've had enough snow here to take a photo of, it's always been "out the window, thru the screens"

i will say, the snow photos from yall have been beautiful to look at -- and just that -- to look at. don't miss that one iota.

Our is all gone, just lots of mud. The fuel man has come and filled the oil tank. I am ready for Spring.

I would like snow, I am sick of the 80 degrees and raining. I hate cold though, so just a few days of it.

That is about my limit, I hate cold. But, I hate hot too, I'm impossible to please. I want 60-75 degrees all year long.

Last night at 11pm it was 79* in my house. so I turned on the AC. I couldnt stand it anymore.


The kids played outside all and Bow was running around in a diaper and T shirt outside all evening. (he cant keep his pants up, so its usually easier to take the durn things off)

Right now its 76* outside. supposed to be a high of 75. LOL and I swear the time and temp number said a low of 78* tonight..

yeah, I ran the a/c too, it is running right now. Ya think it will be hot for Christmas this year, or will we be freezing?

I am fiqurin hot. I dont reckon we will get cold till January/Febuary. Sometime after deerseason.. LOL

At least it will be cold come tomorrow night. supposed to be in the 40's here beginin of next week at night. But it pisses me off to go from AC to heat in the same damn day..
