My niece wants help with affordable (but nice) wedding favors

scar- that was a romantic story! I love hearing how people meet and the stories that come with it. I just know that my kids will get a kick of how Daddy and I met. lol

I yet to marry, so I can not say what I did, but I remember going to my aunt's wedding. I think they just gave out little spoons (like babysized ones) with a ribbon on it. The ribbon alternated thier wedding colors (black and white) and had thier wedding date on it.

The miniature candy bar wrappers are really cute. If you shop around I have seen them for about 0.25 each. This did not include candy. We did them as "handouts" for the birth of each of our kids. For people that save stuff like this they are small and can be put in a photo album next to a photo. It is cheaper to buy the candy bars seperate 'cause they charge like .40 each! for the mini's!

Its still not cheap @ about $50.00 for 200 plus the cost of candy...but they are sooo cute

I like the kisses idea. we got married on a cruise ship and had 40 guests attend we gave everyone a beer koozie that had our name on it and a ships wheel and the date of our wedding everyone loved them and used them to keep there drinks cold.

I was lucky, My grandmother was a florist when she was young. She idd all my flowers. And a seamstress, she did all the bridesmaid dresses. She had made the wedding gown I wore 20year before for my mom, and just made me about 10 peticoats to go under it. And like I said, I made the roses full of birdseed.

I think we spent a grand. That was for food, beer and invites. and that was ALOT of money back when I got married. heck its alot now. LOL Of course that doesnt count the cowboy hat that I bought BR. It was a silverbelly, 7 and a quarter 20 X stetson. Beautiful hat, it was grey.
I paid 300.00 for it. dang its amazing the things I have remembered since this thread started... I HAVE to find some wedding pictures. I bet we looked so differnt! LOL

I will think more on this over the weekend. I do cheap but fun kid activities all the time. So I should be able to think of cheap, easy, and creative adult activities too. Wait. That came out funny.
