My Niece Anna

I just found out that she was accepted and she will attend Cornell University in the fall.I'm so excited for her but I've also been thinking of the distance (about 4 hrs by car) :/

So sorry, Athena, I thought I posted a long response to this yesterday. Congrats to Anna - and condolences to Auntie Athena in regards to the physical distance! Thank goodness we have email, Skype etc.

lol Ty Lori, I'm hoping her father will pick her up some weekends and I'll find a way to get there without the car,4 hrs is too much for me.Maybe a train from Penn tation or something.

IIRC Cornell has a very good sports medicine department.

I knew a couple of guys who went there and played hockey, and one of 'em was very excited about the sports med and sports trainer type courses he had taken.

That's very interesting Nyssa! I don't know if that's one of her interests,but I will let her know in case she's not familiar.Ty!

Here's an update on miss Anna lol She decided that she's not going into medicine.I don't remember what she's majoring in ,but I think she'll probably change it at some point.She's still undecided as her aunt Athena was in her freshman year lol.For our Orthodox Easter she invited a big group of her friends.One of them stood out to me when he mentioned Venezuela to someone.I had no idea he was latino,he looks white.We had a long conversation about the country.I then found out that he (William) had asked Anna to the prom.He's such a nice guy and very intelligent.He was going to attend Cornell until he was accepted to Princeton.Anna told me that she didn't like him as anything but friends because he speaks with a condescending attitude.They did go out on two dates to see if it would work.I was at the house the day of the prom,and again they all met at my sister's house for the limo to pick them up.They make such an amazing-looking couple!A few days after the Prom Anna and I spoke on the phone and she tells me,"He made such a big deal about me sitting at the table with his friends,yet he followed me around everywhere I went" He's in loveee.Well I guess we'll see what the future brings.Hopefully he'll change but I don't know.She's only 17 and she has lots of time to date.
