Another My Points question Empty Another My Points question

Post by bizzeedee Tue Jul 01, 2008 4:43 pm

Today, I've only done my bonus emails, signed up for one web site. 20 instant points and 25 pending.

But, I noticed the very first pending date stamped 8-01-08 is from Bzz AGent for 30 points.

Now I haven't done anything at Bzz Agent to earn 30 points that I'm aware of, especially not in the last 48 hours. Last I got from them was 50 MP for a report.

So any quess as to what these 30 Pending Bzz My Points resulted from?

I mean, I'm thankful for any points I can earn cause I'm "just that close" to another $25 restaurant card, but for the life of me, can't fathom what these 30 points were for.

Another My Points question 621432 Dah, you're probably right, totally forgotten the Aveen L&F survey I did a couple of days ago. Thanks for hitting me long side the head. I needed that!

Another My Points question Empty Re: Another My Points question

Rather than start a new thread I'll just put my "another mypoints question" in here: When you make a purchase, HOW are you supposed to do it? I go to mypoints.com, find the merchant I want, click on them, and then shop normally.

I've done this several times and mypoints never shows anything in my credits other than a "clickthru" even after 30 days has passed. Am I doing something wrong, or do they just suck, and expect you to chase down your points each and every time you make a purchase?

For that kind of headache, I could just do rebates. Wink

Thanks for any help you can provide... I just don't get it.

I did it that way the one time I bought something online recently. And it did show up. But I've heard that some people are having trouble getting things credited.

Can any one of you ladies who MyPoints frequently give pointers? I'm not qualified to answer this one.

The only thing I can think of is you have cookies blocked and they are unable to track your purchases. I have not had any issues. I do exactly as you are doing.

I have had one problem with getting points credited. I ordered from magazines.com and wasn't seeing my 250 points even after 30 days. Go to your account, and where you see the clickthru for that merchant on the day you ordered, go ahead and click the plus sign you'll see. One of the choices is contacting them about it. Click on that and copy and paste the order confirmation that was emailed to you for that transaction and they will credit you your missing points.

My hints for anyone who wants to use MyPoints to earn shopping points:

1.Always use the same email address that you use for your MyPoints account
2.Always save the confirmation email you receive from the merchant in case you need it later to prove to MyPoints that you made a purchase.

And as silly as it seems, always make sure you are fully logged in. Sometimes your name will be at the top of the page, along with your point count, but you will still need to log in. I have lost plenty of points assuming I was logged in.

Thanks for all the help! I did all the things you said... they did credit me once I asked them to. Same is true of a priceline purchase... I've just taken to putting a note in my Outlook calendar 30 days later to remind me it's time to go ask for the points.

Although, I must say, I won't be going out of my way to use these guys for anything. Too much work to get something supposedly automated.

Oh well! Them's the breaks. Smile

I was a bit afraid that they wouldn't credit me at first, but they always do.
Glad you got your points!
