at the risk of being overly dramatic.

If you have a USE for mypoints, then YES, its great. You have MADE money with them. I DONT buy online.

I cant afford it. Everything my kids wear, is on clearence. 3 bucks or less. LOL I dotn shop online. I dont book flights, I cant get my deisel delivered to my door.

I buy a few things online, but usually ONLY if I win an amazon GC from a survey site. Thats how my kids got MP3 players for christmas. So the oNly points I will get with my points is FROM bzz agent. unless I take the time to do the surveys.

The certificates do not need to be used online. Do you shop at Walmart? Kmart?

You know, I keep tossing around that 40 points thing. I really would like to believe that something changed at the last minute so the 40 points was some kind of error. Why else would it be posted so blatently and be so blatently absent?

YEs brandi, but I am pointing out I cant suppliment my bzzpoints as well as those that buy online.

I am stuck at the shitty conversion rate.

THis is a great site if you buy online I am sure. or at least thats what everyone is saying. But for me it aint worth crap. it takes me OVER 8 minutes to LOAD the FREAKIN SITE.

That is just to get to the HOME PAGE> I havent EVEN tried to click out of there. The one time I did try I never loaded, froze up and had to reboot.

Brandi: I am assuming Chelle is talking about the fact that other than BzzAgent the way one wins points on MyPoints is by using their links when you do your online shopping. So while the gift cards can be used at places I'd imagine she probably shops, if she doesn't shop online ever, she won't gain more points except through BzzAgents or the occasional MyPoints survey... Whereas I was talking about how I do a lot of online shopping (I save massive money by shopping online actually, and I do buy plane tickets a few times a year) so I earn a lot of points that will accumulate along with points I get from BzzAgent.

Rebecca: Sorry for the erroneous assumption! BzzAgent is totally America-centric... As are most Americans, myself included (though Canadian friends have made me a little more aware)

Chelle: I totally hear you.

Deep breath - you do not have to go to their site to get their points....you do not have to participate.

You could participate by clicking on the emails they send you which open other sites...its up to you.

You will get points from buzz and just redeem them twice a year.....that is all I meant.

UGh.....I am sick of all this.

brandi I'm sick of it all too.

I know there are users who LOVE mypoints... thats all fine and dandy.. but some like myself feel we were left w/no opportunity to really make a choice. We HAVE to have a mypoints account. . then I find out WE pay for shipping of the gc's to us? So we're losing more then just the 40% rate.

Some ppl believe it or not don't like doing the emails & links stuff. I dont mind it only takes a second or two.. but I also have highspeed cable for a connection and don't run into the troubles a dial up user does.

No doubt the hive stirred the bees nest w/this one. I feel like we got shoved off onto another site w/no choice.. well yes we could have totally LOST all our points.. so what choice really did we have. I've bzz'd alot and worked hard for my points... my bzzpoints.. not mypit points.

People are saying quite a bit today, but that is false. I have been a Mypoints member since 1999 and have never paid to get a gc shipped. They have no way to charge you that I know of.

I just got a starbucks cert...25 for 25...no shipping. I have never paid shipping.

Mypoints is the new partner for rewards for Bzz from here on out.

You do not have to particpate in furthering your mypoints account from mypoints just collect points from bzzagent and cash in when you have enough.

I was referring to getting an online certificate (say to amazon.com) and then having to pay amazon's shipping. Not all their items qualify for free shipping.

Ok, but that is not what Darlene thought and I wanted her to know she would not pay shipping to get one. You are correct, but you can also use the gc at b&m stores and restaurants and no shipping is invloved.

Well I am not crazy about this mypoint thing but it looks like I could get about $60 worth of gift cards. With their old system I never got anything so this is better than nothing. I think the only people that ever got anything from bzzz were older, tier 3 and 4 bzz ladies and the newer 1 and 2 tier never got anything. At least this is more fair. I have been here a year and even if there was a reward I had just got the bzz kit and couldn't get the bzz report ok'd fast enough to get anything. The items went in and out before you could sneeze. Something is better than nothing!!

I have spent this evening trying to see the silver lining in this. I will absolutely use the giftcards, as I buy all of our family's groceries at Walmart. The gas ones would be great, since it just hit $4 a gallon for unleaded today, but the gas stations listed aren't around here, I don't think. I think I would be willing to get on board with this system if they'd give us the points they took back. My husband just quit a job last month because his employer took a commission that DH was supposed to have gotten. This kinda feels like the same thing...

Im one who was never able to get anything either so maybe that is why Im not understanding the 40% loss... where does that come from, how were you able to put a dollar value on the points at bzzz? And what was it?

You used to be able to make a $10 "donation" with 100 points. With mypoints, the cheapest $10 gift card is 1400 mypoints. When you divide that by 8, you get 175 mypoints as opposed to 100 bzzpoints in the old system.

Connie, it is difficult to give an exact figure for the conversion because the cash out at MyPoints varies from store to store. But, the best offer I could find was just under 60 cents on the dollar as compared to BzzPoints buying value (for donations and the rewards I looked up on Amazon.com). Some of the MyPoints offers were closer to 50 cents on the dollar.

I wouldn't have minded taking a slight loss in exchange for the benefit of easier reward redemption. But 40% isn't slight. It's a huge chunk.
