Re: BEE LOG POST PARTY!!!!!!!!!!
yep rebecca, barely scratched the surface. ANd I know I promised to be good, but since noone else will say it, I have to.
That was about the worst 'update' I have ever seen.
I cant belive that something as important as duty on a package is something that a company that is going 'international' would take for granted. Even I in all my ignorance KNOWS that you have to pay duties on things going into another country. For them involove a differnt country in their endevours and then fail to obtain the simplest of specifications on their laws and customs is asnine to say the least.
ANd then to post it on our weekly update is just infuriating. We have waited for a solid week for some sort of tidbit. They didnt have to give us a date, they could have answered a differnt question. Told us a little more about the honeycomb, given us a hint on rewards to come, or anything. As great as the news is for the Canadians, ( and I think its great news) it doesnt involve everyone.

Re: BEE LOG POST PARTY!!!!!!!!!!
So I log out and log back in, and this party is still on?? Are we going to have to drink and be merry or pretend to be until the Bees come out of their hive and give us the sting?

This is a great party - no end in sight. Not until we get more detailed reports/news updates.

Joe made another reply and it is interesting:

Because I feel badly that I couldn’t give you the “date” answer, I’ll answer another question from this thread. Several people have asked about the turnaround time for answering reports. We are aware that it’ll be important to approve reports faster leading up to, and during, Shaloha so that when the new system launches, most (if not all) Agents start with a “clean slate.” For that reason, we are going to work extra, extra hard to respond to your reports as fast as possible. I know that I for one will roll up my sleeves and review some of your BzzReports, as will a bunch of my colleagues in the hive. This is an all-hands-on-deck effort!

Re: BEE LOG POST PARTY!!!!!!!!!!
That should be interesting! Maybe if they read some one line reports themselves, they'll realize that they need to address the issue. And I've actually noticed that my reports are being graded a little harder. There have been some comments that actually would be helpful, too. I don't really mind, since I have been kinda slacking off lately. No. Not one-liners. Not even three liners. But not my best effort. So maybe they're listening. And I suppose I can make myself put forth a bit more effort in return.
Re: BEE LOG POST PARTY!!!!!!!!!!
I too agree they are grading harder. I have gotten some interesting comments lately too. They are for sure reading them and the other day one said they were from here and mentioned three towns that I did not put in my report.

Question
chelle wrote:... but think its just one more post in a long line of BS.
Hi Chelle,
I am not calling you out. I am asking sincerely: what strikes you as BS? What are we failing to do that you'd have us do? I know you thought the Canada update was lame, but we have a whole lot of Canadian agents who asked us if they will be left out of the Shaloha. We felt it was important to remind them that they are part of our family, too. I am sorry I didn't give you a date, but I felt like I explained why I couldn't. I also answered specific questions in the thread in attempt to make up for the fact that I couldn't tell you what you wanted to know. I am not sure how any of that is BS. I wish I could give you the date, but I just can't. If I gave you a date and it turned out to be wrong, imagine the fallout from that! We are all really, really trying to tell you as much as we can without risking breaking promises. We are also trying really, really hard to build this new system so that it works as promised. We know you have been patient for a very long time, and we regret that it's taken so long. But we think the new system will be good. We are now in the final stages and we are trying to keep you guys as informed as possible. Some of you "guys" (gender neutral) just happen to live in Canada!

Re: BEE LOG POST PARTY!!!!!!!!!!
All,
There have been a few comments on here about reports being graded harder. That's just coincidence. We haven't made any recent changes to how we score reports. As I said on the BeeLog today, the internal staff here is soon going to roll up our sleeves and start helping out on responding to reports as we move into Shaloha, so you may get some odd responses (most of us haven't done this before!) but if you have seen any changes lately, chalk it up to coincidence.
Joe

Thanks for letting us know that nothing has changed on reviewing reports, except the reviewers. I'll bet yall are really bzzy at the hive reading all these reports! Good luck.

Chelle got in trou-ble! Chelle got in trou-ble!
OK, maybe not in trouble. But I can dream.
Hi Joe! Great to see you again. I think the reason so many of us were frustrated by that post is that we were hoping for some substantial info. And if you're not Canadian, there wasn't much. It's kind of like when your kids ask for a hint about what they're getting for Christmas and you tell them it's blue. It's maddening. (I do it every year.)

Joe,
Thank you for working so hard to get the transition "just right". I agree that the friends up north should get some info on the changes for them also!
Patiently waiting....

Re: BEE LOG POST PARTY!!!!!!!!!!
Thebigscott is a troublemaker! Chelle is not in trouble! I understand why she was disappointed in the post, but I was confused about her characterization of it as BS. Canadians are agents, too, you know!
Re: BEE LOG POST PARTY!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Joe you said:
"We are aware that it’ll be important to approve reports faster leading up to, and during, Shaloha so that when the new system launches, most (if not all) Agents start with a “clean slate.” For that reason, we are going to work extra, extra hard to respond to your reports as fast as possible."
So by clean slate do you mean there will not be a leader board? I'm confused by this "clean slate" statement since you clearly stated, "Your past accomplishments will factor in, and the only way you'll slide down a level will be if you actively try to not try at all." So how can it be a clean slate if our past accomplishment factor in and we won't slide down?

Re: BEE LOG POST PARTY!!!!!!!!!!
I proudly accept the title of troublemaker.
All hail Queen Troublemaker!
Actually, I knew what you meant. I just like to tease Chelle. And I am SO glad that the Canadians won't have to pay duty on their rewards.
Hey Joe! I forgot to mention. One of the agents here (thebutlerdidit) had a great idea about helping reduce the reselling of BzzKits. She suggested having items in the kit that were unique to Bzzing, so that they could be easily spotted on ebay. I just bumped the thread over on BzzChat. It's called "If you could redesign the BzzKit"

Re: BEE LOG POST PARTY!!!!!!!!!!
Interesting idea about unique-to-BzzAgent kit contents! The challenge is that the manufacturer would need to produce a very limited supply of special items, and that would likely be prohibitively expensive for them. (Ok, gang, I have to log off for the day. Be in touch soon!)

Re: BEE LOG POST PARTY!!!!!!!!!!
Man, I take off a little time to move into a new house and you guys go and have a party without me.
Geeze I hate to see what you all do when I go in for the hernia repair.
OK, must go read, read, and read some more to see what else I've missed.

Re: BEE LOG POST PARTY!!!!!!!!!!
I think the reports are getting reviewed faster lately as well. As far as a date.. yes it's disappointing to not have it..however I do still think a little more could have been posted as to what we are to expect. I'm not talking about a complete unveiling but as this shin-dig gets closer rumors are going to start flying.. like the "auction" idea. C'mon.. how fair would that be really?
I for one would like to know a bit more about what's in store.. even if a date can't be given. Tell us if golden keys are going to be gone forever.. tell us if there will be a section which better explains what's considered 3 vs. a 5 in qc scores on reports. We fill honeycombs? Ok explain that a bit more.. do we have to fill "a # to get a certain reward".. like fill 1 u get a water bottle fill 20 an ipod? Seriously I think ppl would have been happy w/just a "little" information on the changes.. but there's been none. I understand wanting to make sure the system will run great therefore no date given yet.. but .. more info is always appreciated.
*hugs*

Re: BEE LOG POST PARTY!!!!!!!!!!
Honestly I am going to stop bugging Joe here and on the beelog about this issue. I am going to just take what I can get and hope for the best. It all sounds great and I know I will love some of the changes and hate other parts of the changes. I know you can't please everyone all of the time. I think we will get our answer to the date when it actually happens.
