BEE LOG POST PARTY!!!!!!!!!!
Canada, We Remembered to Remember You
Posted by joec
May 8th, 2008
If you read the comments to last week’s rewards post (”On Frogs and Honeycombs“), you may have noticed that I said I’d try to reveal the date for “Shaloha” this week. Well, here’s the thing: I can’t blog about that just yet. We are working feverishly to get everything ready, tested, ready again, tested again, and ready again, again. And we really (really!) don’t want to set your expectations only to have to reset them again. (Frankly this is why we’ve shared rewards information a little at a time … timing has a tendency to shift a bit when making a change of this magnitude.) So this week’s question has to do with Canada.
We heard from a Canadian Agent who, to paraphrase the great band WIlco, suggested we “remember to remember (her).” So this post goes out to all of our Agents in the North Country.
Our new rewards system will provide you with the very same benefits as those received by the US Agents. In fact, we expect the new system to resolve that pesky “duty” problem you faced when receiving rewards in the past. Our research suggests that you won’t have to pay a postal tax upon receipt of rewards in the new system (including Shaloha). So rest assured, there will be plenty of stuff for our Canadian friends.
And as far as a date is concerned, I hope to have more on that soon. It’s still on the tippedy top of my questions-I-really-really-have-to-answer-and-soon-on-the-BeeLog list. But, we’re getting close………

I think it's great that they're trying to make it better for you Canadians! Also, I think Joe's doing a great job and helping as much as he can. I would definately hate to hear info that wasn't accurate. Thanks for working so hard Joe!

I sure hope that invite reply doesn't set off any rude comments in the BeeLog.

Re: BEE LOG POST PARTY!!!!!!!!!!
Probably will, Honey! But the mods discussed it and decided the more the merrier. They can get mad over there or not and we won't notice. And it was addressed to all agents, and included our web address, and we've posted it on chit chat for them to be able to participate. So if all goes well, they'll be able to celebrate with us. I think I got all our invites here sent out, too. So grab you a drink and a snack, and we'll have a nice time.
Re: BEE LOG POST PARTY!!!!!!!!!!
I cant imagine why it would honey. we have been inviting people here for weeks I am pretty sure everyone overthere is seeing what we post over here anyway. Either registered or not.
Which is why we put this here in chat. so EVERYONE can see it If nothing else, we are open and honest

Re: BEE LOG POST PARTY!!!!!!!!!!
So are any of you girls dressing up for the party? I've got some kaluha that Scott mixed for me and he made it way stronger than I normally do. And I'm going to get some snacks, too. So I'm thinking I'll find a party avatar for the event.
Re: BEE LOG POST PARTY!!!!!!!!!!
naw, I am proud for the northern neighbors, but think its just one more post in a long line of BS.
I am just gona sit here in my sweats and T shirt that says "I dont suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it!"

There’s no need to change your campaign/Bzzing behavior in anticipation of the new system. Just keep doing what you are doing. (Though if you are in a campaign, you may want to submit your reports soon so that you have more points for Shaloha. This is by no means essential, it’s just a tip.)
JoeC
Does this mean that it will be awhile before they stop giving BzzPoints for reports? (Since it takes about a week for them to review them right now!)..... Hmmmm..... Maybe a *teeney* clue.

Thank you! She was jumping up and down on the bed and her hair was in all these little pig-tails. So I have a whole series: hair up! hair down! hair up! hair down!

Now that is interesting news! Hmm. Maybe the new system will only average in your closed campaigns. Or maybe it won't be an average at all, just a straigt total score that you add to. I think I'd prefer an average. I don't like that they average in the active campaigns, but I do like that people who are only offered a few campaigns (like the Canadians) can still rank up there with people who are offered dozens.
Re: BEE LOG POST PARTY!!!!!!!!!!
You know I am so glad he answered that. I still wonder if they will get all my reports reviewed in time. I must admit I'm racking up on points. I use to blow them whenever possible.

Re: BEE LOG POST PARTY!!!!!!!!!!
Geez, they are just making me crazy with curiosity now. I do understand they must be buzzzzing around the hive to make sure things work before they put it into practice. It could be a major upheavel of the whole BzzAgent system if it wasn't just right. They know people in the BeeLog would be jumping down their necks. I understand their precautions, but I'm sooooo curious!
