Canada is driving me crazy.

A while ago I ordered some Melissa and Doug puzzles for Zoe and Quinn's birthdays and Christmas. They came today in the mail. When I was picking out which to order I got a puzzle map of the US with some educational stuff about each of the states. Then I saw one of Canada and decided to get them both. I didn't learn a thing about Canada or Mexico in school and neither have any of my kids. So when I unpacked the box and saw that Canada map, I had an overwhelming urge to tear the plastic wrap off and start doing the Canada map. The US one isn't calling to me at all. I already know all the states and kind of remember their capitols, state flowers, etc. But the Canadian one is all a mystery. I don't want to wait until July to do the puzzle! OY!

Like you Karen, I know so little about Canada... have been to Toronto, Montreal & Quebec.... but still in the dark about so much... someday hope to visit western Canada.... go ahead and open the puzzles... Could be a nice weekend or summertime activity for the kids! You can always buy something else for whoever's birthday is in July !

Oh geez, go ahead - open it. It'll be a fun thing for you and your family.
Sorry to hear that your school system still does not teach about Canada, that is a shame. Some folks must have been educated as we had some flock in as dodgers during the Vietnam War.
When you complete your puzzle - post the following:
The name of the province and capital city of the following UB folks (and pardon me if I missed someone out - just go ahead and add)...

Ha! It'd a simple wooden puzzle, so I know what it looks like already. But it has more info UNDER the pieces that I can't see. Grrr.
