Re: New Years' Eve
Probably staying home and watching a movie. Possibly watching Xander, maybe going out to eat. No firm plans yet, I do not feel like going out, we always stay out to late then you feel like crap the next morning, not to mention the hangover.....so A movie and wings, maybe a few glasses of wine, but thats it.

Re: New Years' Eve
I haven't thought that far ahead. I'm trying to take care of a few end-of-the-year jobs like getting the last of Scott's flex-spending health account money spent and reimbursed. I saved all my receipts, but I didn't bill my over-the-counter medicines to the account because I wanted to have that money set aside in case someone got sick or hurt. So today I've been totalling receipts to I can get reimbursed. Tomorrow I will go and spend the last few hundred on the account. Sadly, I will be able to pay for my next round of vials for my allergy shots and that will take care of all of it.
Re: New Years' Eve
I'm broke from buying christmas gifts lol My brother wants us to go out to a club, and new years eve here goes for at least 100 dollars per person anywhere you go.If he fronts for me ok ,if not I'll stay here with the dogs and a bottle of sparkling wine lol

Re: New Years' Eve
DH and I just decided there wasn't anywhere we really wanted to go as far as eating or partying. Maybe we'll try a midnight walk with the dog (and the kid if he wants to go).

Gosh, it's been 12 years since I had a flex-spending health account, and back then, over the counter didn't count... glad it's change Karen! But yeah, it's work.

Re: New Years' Eve
Lori, I remember those kinds of NYE... walking inthe snow with Bear and later Willie (both of our German Shepards)... but no 'kid'... crisp, clear, cold and just a wonderful experience, especially when you lived in the country on a county round with no traffic, nothing more than a 2-track path... BUT don't miss that snow LOLLori wrote:DH and I just decided there wasn't anywhere we really wanted to go as far as eating or partying. Re: New Years' Eve
I'll stay up, but I don't know if we'll go out or not. Maybe to a movie. I haven't seen Sherlock Holmes yet. I'll have to see how late the latest show runs.
Re: New Years' Eve
a quiet evening her for hubby and I. Having snacks and goodies- getting so old, we hardly stay awake until midnight. Tomorrow is my hubby's birthday so will be going to a movie and out to eat.

Re: New Years' Eve
About the time you wrote that, Dee, we were bundling up to go on our walk. We just weren't sure we'd make it until midnight and wanted to make sure we got out before we fell asleep. We took flashlights but didn't need them. Even though it was cloudy, there was a full moon (actually, a Blue Moon - 2 full moons in one the same month!) Got home around 11:45, watched the ball drop, read a little more, and got to bed by 1 am. Boring, but satisfying.

Re: New Years' Eve
Scott and I did go out. We had a nice dinner at home with the kids and with Zaven's girlfriend and her mom, since they stopped by. Then Scott and I went out to dessert at Olive Garden and to see Sherlock Holmes. It was a nice night, and a good way to end one year and start the next.
Re: New Years' Eve
Oh how was it Karen? Worth going to see or wait to rent? Blindside is on my list too Erin. But tonight I am taking my amazon movie credit and hubby and I are going to watch the Hangover.
Saige insisted we wake her for midnight, so we stayed up for that and then she wouldn't get up anyway, lol. Quiet night at home playing wii.

Re: New Years' Eve
DH and I have both heard bad things about the Sherlock Holmes movie. One guy said he wouldn't even rent it when it comes out on video. From the looks of the trailer I don't think it's for me. I do want to see Avatar and Blind Side. Not sure if I'll get to the theater to see either, though.
