HELP? ( fashion issues)
Ok, Dh and I have to go to a wedding soon, it is a "semi formal" wedding. Evening, Yacht club, fancy schmancy etc. SO, Dh has a suit, his all purpose wedding/funeral suit, that was fortunately at the cleaners during the hurricane. I need something to wear, and I was thinking standard little black dress. I like this one....but am open to ideas if this one is not "semi formal" enough..pairing it with plain black pumps or stillettos...also, keep in ind that the bride is likely to be wearing skulls and have pink/blue or whatever color strikes her mood hair. BUT, she is marrying DH's best friend, so we HAVE to go.

I like the one from Macy's better, but they're both gorgeous. I think the exact one depends on your figure.
Re: HELP? ( fashion issues)
um, I wear a size 4, and have a big butt and mid sized chestnuts, according to dh..I like the one from Macy's better too, but wasn't sure if it qualified as semi formal.....LOL

I like the first one (Nordstrom's) better. I'm getting nervous just looking at the second dress. It would make me feel naked, but if you can pull it off, go for it!

It qualifies. I like it, too. I could never pull it off, but if I could I wouldn't hesitate.

Re: HELP? ( fashion issues)
Cough.. cough.. a size FOUR and you are claiming to have FAT? hahaha..
Being that size.. you can pull any of them off.. I like the first one and Tara's pick as well.. mostly because both are classic and can be worn for years to come... (unless that fat takes over)...

I like either of the two from Nordstroms. You can dress them up with nice heels and the right accessories. You'll look gorgeous!!!

I don't know, if I was a size 4 I think I'd consider going naked!Lori wrote:I like the first one (Nordstrom's) better. I'm getting nervous just looking at the second dress. It would make me feel naked, but if you can pull it off, go for it!
Re: HELP? ( fashion issues)
I like the Nordstrom's ... not the price, but classier... and yeah, size 4? I don't care what size your chestnuts are... either is a dress I couldn't ever wear.... size 4? Hmmm think maybe when I was 4

Re: HELP? ( fashion issues)
oh, and considering your description of the bride to be, you could buy a black dress off the rack at WAlmart and looked classier than her

The style these days is no hose. The kids say only old people wear hose now. It is much more comfy and you will look up to date, if you have bare legs. Oh and I prefer the dress Tara picked. I was looking at it before she posted lol.

Yeah, I have to agree about the hose. If you're going to wear a LBD you might as well dare to go bare.
