How cold is it at your house?

27 here, and they are pouring concrete. I feel sorry for those guys out there freezing...

No school here today because of extreme cold.

Wow Valerie, that's insane!! It's actually warming up here (LOL). It's only -14 C (6F) with a windchill of -22 C (-8 F).

I am in the Truro area.

I'm on Cape Breton Island. I'm guessing being surrounded by the Atlantic is helping us out this time. LOL.

I have cousins and an Aunt and Uncle in Truro!

actually, you would think that watermelon was nothing but water, but when you try to juice one, there aint as much as you would think... LOL

We were supposed to go to -2, but we got lucky and it stayed at about 15 above. We used to heat with wood, and I sure wish we still did. Last month's electric bill was $350.
My dd is in college in Iowa. All the students live on campus, but they still cancelled classes. At -40 wind chills, they said the kids needed to stay inside and not even be out long enough to walk to class.

82 degrees and it has cooled down some. Not bragging because it is due to the Santana winds.

We had a blizzard warning most of the week, school was called off on Thursday due to the horrible low temps and it was -23 when I went to do my grocery shopping this morning. I am doing all I can to keep Timmy in the house, so I am grateful that my neighbors were off work today to watch him while I ran errands.

It is currently -3 right now, and I am waiting to go pick up Tim. I hope it doesn't get much colder.

Jeez Louise it is freezing cold.
On Monday it is supposed to be above freezing but we are calling for 20cm of snow.

The house has been snapping the last two days and the furnace hasn't stopped. So cold that when I took my dog out on his leash to pee, he took 3 steps out on the porch and peed on the rail and went right back to the door, he even had his sweater and I put baby socks on his feet.

It is 38 here, supposed to be in the 60's tomorrow
Never got over 45 today, and i felt SO bad for the concrete guys. They were here at 6:15 AM, and did not leave until 9:30 PM. I kept bringing them hot coffee and cocoa.

It was 35 today and will be 38 tomorrow... not too bad... crazy as it sounds I am getting used to it... I have going out without a coat on.... lol .... crazy!

Right now it is 2 F. Hopefully this is the last night this cold...it's suppose to warm up to 28 tomorrow! I don't think it got above 15 today.

sounds exactly like us.. cept were not 2 tonight.. maybe 17... and 42 tomrrow sounds like ah heat wave for us after the last couple of days. I feel so bad for all of you who are experiencing those sub 0 temps... it just hurts to read about

Right now we are at -18C with a windchill of -29. I went outside this morning to get a bag of pellets for the stove and I couldn't believe how cold it was! My hands were freezing when I got in the house (and I was only outside for maybe 3 mins max).

Wow after it being so cold it warmed to 38 yesterday. Right now it 36, and we are having a mixture of rain, sleet, and a few snow flakes throwed in for good measure. There are wrecks like crazy this morning. One area of our county the roads are snow covered.
