American Idol
Go John Michaels ! and Jason Castro. David Archuletta ... come back when you're a little more mature. Brooke rocks, but seems to be in a rut like Carrie Underwood ... one kind of music. There are others, but I definitely think it's gonna be a guy who wins the crown this season.

Re: American Idol
I'm not too big a fan of Brooke, or of any of the women to be quite honest ..... they are just "so-so" ....... sure hope that Kristy person gets the boot next week .... not sure why she's still there to be honest - talk about having the personality onstage akin to that of a plank of wood! Don't much like country music if I'm being completely honest.
Yep, me thinks you are right and it will be a guy to win .... but which one, so many good ones this year! I really like Jason Castro, don't think he'll win though but he'll have a good career ahead.
Is it just me or is Michael Johns channeling Jim Morrison AND Michael Hutchence - he's positively yummy and he can sing!
David Cook has shown he's the most versatile of them all .... hadn't picked him in my top 6 at the outset but he's certainly giving me cause to change my mind!

Re: American Idol
David Cook can come on over to my house and sing me a song any time. I'll even kick my hubby out for the performance. Seriously, he sings EXACTLY my favorite type of music, so I adore him. I think David Archuleta is very good, but just a bit too naive to make it just yet. Brooke is awesome, and I'm sure she'll make a great country album after the show is over, but I just don't think she's got it enough to hang with the likes of David C or Michael J....guess we'll have to wait and find out for sure though!
Oh, and am I the only one who thinks Kristy Lee Skank needs to go home ASAP?

Like I said above, why is she still there? Are they going for a record to see how many times she can be in the bottom 3 and not go home? LOL I've seen drying paint be more entertaining!

Re: American Idol
Hi all! I blog about TV - mostly reality tv.
My link is in my profile, or here http://dvrloveaffair.blogspot.com
I love TV!!!
This year, my faves are definitely David Cook and Michael Johns. Carly might be up there, remains to be seen. I was glad to see Ramiele gone this week, and KLC can go next. She is sooooo boring. I know it's not a popular opinion, but I really am so over David A. He's really one-trick, and it's annoying to me.
Glad to join you all!

Re: American Idol
I see we all have similar tastes. Kristie... I wonder if the vote for the worst fans are keeping on her?
Carly is good, but she needs the big boot. Doesn't seem fair since she did have a recording contract with RCA... too bad it didn't sell. She still had her chance with a recording company!
Michael Johns is aces over David Cook.
Michael Johns....ahhhhhhhhhhhh eye candy to me!

Re: American Idol
I really like David Cook and he is from Blue Spring Mo. I also like Michael John. He was great the last two weeks! Before that I think he was picking the wrong song. I think too many make the mistake of singing their favorite songs instead of the ones best suited to their voice.
Of the girls, I like Syeesha and Carly. I do not like Jason Castro because I can't stand it when white people dred their hair. I also do not like David Archuletta either. He is boring! When he talks his voice drives me crazy too. Sounds like he needs to clear his throat or something.

Re: American Idol
I agree that I think it will be a guys year. None of the women really amaze me, not to say that they arent VERY taleneted. I'm a big fan of David Cook and Michael Johns. I hope the guy with the dreds goes next week. The time Simon told him his guitar playing was sloppy and he said "I could probably practice a little more" did it for me.

Re: American Idol
I like Jason C, David C, Michael, and Brooke. I thought Jason's version of Hallehujiah was just incredible. I also could easily picture him doing Paul Simon. David Cook has been great and I love his music style. Michael Johns has been hit or miss, but mostly hit and he is MAJOR eye candy. Brooke is very folky, I love her voice. David A drives me crazy. He can sing, but he's obnoxious! I think KLC and Syesha need to go next, after that we'll see how it goes. I definitly see a guy winning this year. BTW, KLC has had a recording contract previously too.

If this year is the same as last year, no one will go home this week as tomorrow is Idol Gives back!

Re: American Idol
David A. has this show won. His presence is forcing a lot of moms to have uncomfortable "birds and bees" (no BzzAgent pun intended with the bee reference) talks with their smitten daughters, that's for sure! (Please don't repost this comment on the BeeLog or I'll be mocked mercilessly for it!
Re: American Idol
I'm not so sure David A will win top dawg on the show, but he has one heck of a future in store for him. With the World seeming to make a move towards some sort of higher spirituality I'd imagine he'd have quite a gig if he got together with Oprah and did something up for all the shows she does pushing 'The Secret, EarthDay....'

Re: American Idol
Michael John or Jason Castro... and sadly I won't see it tonight, and since I've asked dh to tape Survivor for me tonight, I'll just have to find out on line in the morning who gets the boot... Maybe Kristie (I hope) or Carly (again I hope)

Re: American Idol
Didn't watch the Idol Gives Back show last night, hockey playoffs have started so I was glued to the Ottawa/Pittsburgh game. And now I'm planted firmly in place watching Montreal already up 2 - ZIP over Boston ... not even 3 minutes into the first period!
Anyway, back to the topic at hand ........ I can only hope that Kristy gets the boot, and if no one is sent packing tonight then next week for sure. But you know, I've got a feeling that it is going to be Syesha (is that correct?) who will be voted off this time. Kind of like that horrible Sanjaya ...... I don't quite understand it but I think Kristy will unfortunately stay for another week thus robbing a more deserving singer of another week to shine in the spotlight. It will be 3 women in the bottom 3 again this time methinks!
And, I shall beg to differ with JoeC .... David A will NOT take top prize this year, yet he will have an amazing career ahead of him!

Any score there? Haven't heard one mentioned here on TSN. Montreal up 2 - 1 over Boston, 5 min. left in the first.
