stay at home jobs
I have been a stay at home mom for almost 5 years and I am itching for a job again. My husband works out of town a lot and I would love to stay at home and do something to make a little spending money. I am just wondering if anyone has any advice on what I can do to earn a little cash from home. thanks

Re: stay at home jobs
I do a few surveys, mystery shopping, couponing and rebating (because the savings mean more spending money) and some writing on eHow.
Re: stay at home jobs
Well, I wanted one for the longest time, but couldn't find anything, so I found a full time job. However, it's great making that extra money that is helpful in times of need... but I really want to take my girls to Walt Disney World next year, so I just signed on to be a consultant & sell Scentsy.... any little bit of money helps & I LOVE Scentsy!
Re: stay at home jobs
wow I just checked out the scentsy website. I never heard of them before. I love that they use a light bulb, especially with small kids around the house. I never did home parties before. I will look into that...thanks

That's why I was so hooked.. b/c of the no flames! It's so cheap to start up: $100 ($118 for me w/ shipping & taxes). You only have to have one month that totals $150 in sales during a three month bracket. So, that seems pretty easy. Plus, Scentsy sells itself, literally. SOO many people love this stuff, and I love the scents they have as well.
here is my website:

I'm still figuring things out.... If you do join, you can join under me! LOL
Re: stay at home jobs
I don't sell for Scentsy.. but I do buy from them.. Let me tell you, they are one amazing awesome company! They are based here in Boise and I have friends who work at the factory.
Not too long ago, they gave their employees a "bonus" and sent them out to "stimulate" the economy. Seriously.. we had some VERY happy and grateful business owners around here! They asked the employees for recommendations on businesses to support and everyone had a fantastic time!
I loved them before they did that and now have so much more respect for them. If I were going to get into any direct sales biz, they would be the one I would go for. They have grown so much and handled it so well.
Now I just need to find a new lightbulb for my "burner". . I have tons of scent packets hanging around waiting for me to use them..

Y'know... I'm wondering if you could buy the lightbulb @ Lowe's?? I know they sell them @ Scentsy's website, but when I first bought them, I wondered where to buy new bulbs. ::
Re: stay at home jobs
Connie, thanks for sharing that. I love hearing about the good things that businesses are doing. Bad news travels fast, but good news - not so much! I remember things like that about businesses and go out of my way to support them.
