2 Relatives Lost Their Jobs Today

I just got a call from my brother. He said both he and my BIL lost their jobs today. They had cut about 60% of their employees several months ago. Today the rest of them were informed that they were closing their location. They were employed by a company that supplies parts to all sorts of industries and job shops.

My BIL raised his hand when they asked if anyone was interested in relocating to one of their locations in Alabama. I hope it works out and he can keep his job. He's been there for a very long time. My brother isn't sure what he's going to do now.

So sorry Lori, it sure is rough out there. I still am looking for full time work. I am thankful I have a part time job, it it just isn't enough.

That is so awful! I hate how (even though billions have been spent by the government) the economy doesn't seem to be getting much better. I think the stock market has leveled out a bit, but if it has, it's not really translating into more jobs.

Oh, that's so horrible. I'm grateful I have a job as well, but this employer treats their employees like CRAP, and since it's so hard to find a decent job, everyone puts up w/ it.

I'm sorry Lori. I hate hearing this yet it seems never ending and it's down right scary.

I'm sorry to hear that. There are so many people out there who can't find work or who can't find enough work that it really is getting scary out there.

Oh Lori, My heart goes out to them. BR hasnt been working much lately, they have the oil wells turned back to almost nothing, and his truck stays broekn down. But the little he can bring in is a Godsend. I dont belive any of their programs are working, but the idiots are too hardheaded to cut their loses and try another track. it just blows my mind. And every small company that closes makes other small compaies close.
