Good dip recipes anyone?
I need several good dip recipes for upcoming showers, parties etc........anyone have any. I am sick of the plain old ranch and spinach dips.....

Garlic chip dip (family recipe)
1 large tub small curd cottage cheese
1 package cream cheese
Garlic salt
Combine cheeses and blend til smooth then add garlic salt to taste. I've never in my life measure the garlic salt so I have no idea how much I add. lol I usually just dip my finger in it and taste, but it's probably between 1-2 Tbs. Sometimes the cottage cheese is a little dry and it makes the dip fairly thick. Just add a little milk to thin it, if necessary. Dip with plain ripple potato chips.

Re: Good dip recipes anyone?
1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
1 cup mayo
1 14oz (I think that's the size. It's like the size of a regular can of soup) can of artichoke hearts, chopped and drained.
Mix it all together and bake for about 30 minutes at 350*. Serve with crackers, pumpernickel bread or whatever you like.
It's SO good, if you think you're not going to like it you have to try it before you decide.

Oh, another one we like is just one brick of cream cheese and one small can of undrained crushed pineapple mixed together. Yum.
Re: Good dip recipes anyone?
This one of my favorites and the amount can vary depending on the number to be served.
Spinach Dip
1 package of frozen spinach (small)
1 container of sour cream (small)
Garlic salt (not powder)
Thaw spinach. Squeeze out as much water as possible then put in paper towel and wring until no water is left.
Put sour cream is appropriate size bowl. Add garlic salt to taste. Be careful about the amount because later on it will become more saltier as it dissolves into the cream.
Stir in spinach and mix well. Put dip in refrigerator until chilled.
Serve with fresh veggies, crackers or thick chips.

Re: Good dip recipes anyone?
I just turned one in to BzzAgent with a Twist 'N Loc report :
Buffalo Chicken Dip... I use the one from Allrecipes :
(except I just toss the cheese in and let it melt with the rest of the ingredients)
INGREDIENTS
* 2 (10 ounce) cans chunk chicken, drained
* 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
* 1 cup Ranch dressing * 3/4 cup pepper sauce, such as FranksŪ Red HotŪ
* 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 bunch celery, cleaned and cut into 4 inch pieces
various crackers
Heat chicken and hot sauce in a skillet over medium heat, until heated through. Stir in cream cheese and ranch dressing. Cook, stirring until well blended and warm. Mix in half of the shredded cheese, and transfer the mixture to a slow cooker. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top, cover, and cook on Low setting until hot and bubbly. Serve with celery sticks and crackers.

Re: Good dip recipes anyone?
We're big on cheeseballs around here.
2 pks cream cheese
a few slices of colby cheese
1 pk of pre-cooked ham (lunchmeat kind)
green onions (if desired)
pk of bacon
Soften the cream cheese. Chop the onions, colby, and ham into small peices, mix with cream cheese. Cut the uncooked bacon into small strips, fry until crispy, break the bacon into crumbles. Form the cheese mixture into a ball (or just put it in a bowl) and either roll the ball in the bacon crumbs or toss them on top (if in bowl).

Avacado dip.
4 avacados
2 pkg philidelphia cream cheese (softened at room temp)
Pace PIcante sauce
garlic
salt
Mash up the avacados
blend in the cream cheese ( with a blender)
as you are blending it put in the pace.
a little garlic
some salt
Then once you get a good taste, but want some heat add some tabasco sauce.
Sorry, I aint got actual measurements. I honestly dont measure crap.. LOL
It used to drive hubby nuts when we first married and he was trying to learn what I was cooking, OR would call me at work to get a recipe.
But he has learned
he still cant make gravy. But he can cook most anything else my grandmother used to make.

My son swears that a can of Hormel Chili and a block of cream cheese is to die for when heated together.

Re: Good dip recipes anyone?
SOmetimes I put chili in my QUeso dip lori. I love it. Most times thought I fry up some hamburger meat and put chili powder in it. then add it to the cheese. Or deer sausage. The less greasy the better. Thats why when I do chili, I dont tdo the whole pot, I just put some in the bowl I am eating and dump in some chili. Cause my chili calls for 80/20 meat and you DONT drain it.
matter of fact, I have some homemade chili in there, and queso sounds pretty good. I am hungry.
I think thats what I will have for supper.

Re: Good dip recipes anyone?
This recipe is so easy that no one believes how good it is. My Mother started making it when I was a child and now my children make it. Everytime we have any type of gathering it is expected. I don't know a sole who hasn't loved it. It's for chips or veggies.
3 pkgs. Philly Cream Cheese
1 8oz. carton of sour cream
Garlic Powder and Onion Powder to taste. It will get stronger as it sets!
Add milk to get desired consistency.
You can blend by hand or easier with mixer.
Another easy favorite:
1 jar of Tostitos Med. cheese dip
1 can of Hormel chili with or without beans
Heat this together.
Great with Tortilla chips.
Both of these go a long way for very little expense.

dice 2 kiwi, about 1 cup of strawberries and an apple
(can add any other fruit you like)
add 1/2 tsp of white sugar
mix all ingredients together add more/less to your liking
turn on oven at about 350
lay tortilla chips of pan
spritz with spray butter and then lightly sprinkle with cinnamon
