teeth talk for you long time members
Remember way back when, our forum was born, and Kathy and I started a conversation about dentures? She had full dentures, I was getting partials.
Well fast forward, my partials have been great, but the permanent bridge I had for front teeth was giving me fits, porcelain cracking (dentist would fix), then porcelain would crack again and fall off (I would super glue it back on -- quit laughing, it worked for a while).
Well I was getting frustrated and about 3 weeks ago, went to my wonderful dentist and said "it's time" for a full upper denture. Castings were made, fittings were done, and this past Monday, had the bridge (two teeth holding it in place) and 2 other natural teeth were pulled... the dentures were put in place before I knew it.
Well, after a bloody Monday afternoon, Tues came, back to the dentist, no problems, sent me home... here it is Wed, no problems.
I have the biggest smile I've had since I was 6 years old, when I fell and broke my front two teeth.
I'm a new person... and the teeth, well they look so natural (well except for someone who has had not so perfect teeth for more years than I can count!)
Just wanted to share to happy news

That's great Diane! When things aren't right with our teeth there's nothing worse - it's all you can think about!

Re: teeth talk for you long time members
I can relate, biz. In my much younger years I experience 17 abcessed teeth, I was near death. I lost so much weight 79 lbs., I went to. I was fortunate to become an experimental patient through the University and was able to receive inlays. I had the inlays for near 20 years. I had regular inlays, graduated to gold/platinum, I have had it all. But eh, it is great to chew on a raw carrot, eat ice cream, or have a cup of coffee without pain.

Lori, you are so right, for so many school pictures, my lipes were pursed. After my first bridge (to fix the broken teeth problem at 16) my first photo showed a smile with teeth... but as we get older, our bone structure changes, and things change.
But now I'M BACK !!!
