Re: Lost at Sea...
Just got home tonight. It'll take me a while to go through my rather crappy photos. Had a great time, but didn't like being away from home for that long. We ended up going from Rogers City, MI (Lake Huron) loaded with sugar stone and flux up throught he St. Mary's River and through the Soo Locks, across Lake Superior to Duluth to unload, then gassed up (approx 75,000 gallons of heavy fuel plus a small amount of #2 Diesel) and on to Two Harbors to load BFT (blast furnace trim - it's used to clean out the furnaces when they make steel). Back across Lake Superior and back through the Soo Locks where the supply boat took us ashore and my hubby and son picked me up. We had pretty good weather, but the temps across Superior dipped down into the 30's and 40's.

Re: Lost at Sea...
Well, full room and board. Pretty great for the cost! I shared a room with my SIL's SIL Rhonda, who I know pretty well. We had a dresser, 2 chairs, 2 twin beds and a full bathroom to ourselves. Much larger than I expected. My husband's cousin is the cook, and there was always a full menu to choose from. The daily board might say:
Breakfast
Breakfast Burrito
Oatmeal
Pancakes
French Toast
Cajun Bacon
Sausage Patties
Plus, there were always pastries, yogurt, cereal etc. available. On the last day they ran out of milk. There was a sign on the milk machine that said "Cow is DRY", but there was some milk in the fridge until that ran out, too. The Ojibway brought more supplies to the boat as we were getting off in Sault Ste Marie.
