Let me tell you about my crazy Aunt!

Ok, I am SO hoping that everyone else has an aunt, or other relative like this. She is nuts, I tell you. She somehow manages to "politely bully" everyone into doing whatever it is she wants them to do, without them even realizing they are agreeing to whatever it is she wants.
For example, today she called me and was telling me about a cake she made for someone's bday( she is a cake designer). She then changes to teling me about her Granddaughters' Christening, which will be on Sunday. Next thing I know, I get off the phone, and am thinking" How in the hell did she convince me to make spinach dip" ? I don't have a clue, but I agreed.

I am usually a very firm person when saying NO about things, the PTA ladies hate me.
She also does this thing when you are at her house, it goes something like this:

AUnt: are you hungry? have you eaten yet?
US: NO, I am not hungry, I am good, thanks
Aunt: well, someone has to eat this ____, or I will have to throw it out.
US: NO thanks, I am good
AUnt: Fine, I will just toss it.
US: sitting at table while she provides utensils and napkin...

rofl yeah.. my grandma use to be like that!

sounds like an over-bearing cousin of mine - grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

My mom has always complained about me being stubborn... because I'm the only one in the family that she has trouble doing that to.

Don't ya just LOVE family???

I am majoring in psychology, doing some graduate work right now; and what always makes me feel a little better about some of the difficult family member, is diagnosing them.

Only in my mind ofcourse, I am not qualified to diagnose by no means...but it makes me feel better when in my head, I can say big psych. words while annoying family member is giving me some kind of unwanted opinion.

So people call them 'quirks'; I call it neurosis....
