What crazy day!

our gas company,con edison has been changing the gas lines on our block for about a month.I was scheduled to go to manhattan for a project today,125 dollars for pne hour,I had to be there at 115 pm. I'm in the shower at 10 am and the doorbell rings like crazy.Wrap myself in a towel and see my brother downstairs talking to the construction worker.They had broken up the sidewalk in front of my driveway!!! Yelled that I have to get out soon,and said nobody told me about this! My bro gave them my keys and they very slowly took my car out for me,by that time I had gotten dressed and ran down,no time for makeup whatsoever.I made it there,early ,but so be it.

I hate construction and trying to figure out what I can and can not do when they have things blocked off. I hope your tires weren't damaged by driving over the cement!

I came home to the neighbors yard filled with cops... and more cops. Apparently I got here two minutes after the end of a high speed chase through 3 counties. I think he surrendered, it didn't look like there was a crash anyway.

wow, tara.....that's kind of scary isn't it? Good thing you were behind all of that and not driving in the middle of it with it going on around you..

Better that Tara wasn't "in front of" the chase... I panic when an emergency vehicle behind me is coming 90 mph with flashers on! We have very narrow road here and not a lot of room to pull off on a shoulder !

Yeah I am certainly glad it was over when we got here. I thought it was an accident when I saw it but there were no ambulances and WAY too many cops, then I read it on the news.

You came thisclose to being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Did you find out what the guy did to start the chase in the first place?

Got caught in the middle of a robbery (perhaps the car?) and took off.
