Soup Bread Empty Soup Bread

Post by edbson Wed Apr 23, 2008 11:11 am

I know it doesn't sound right, but this is what we call it. It is great when BBQing, or for camping. We make it alot, with almost everything.

1 loaf french bread, cut in 1 inch slices, But NOT all the way through.
1 package onion soup mix
1 stick butter softened ( I use real butter, but margarine would work)

Mix soup mix and butter together with a fork, or mixer. Spread between "slices" of bread. Wrap in foil, bake at 350 for about 10-15 minutes. Serve

I've never heard of anything like this... it sounds yummy. And as it happens,I have a packet of onion soup on the cupboard... might just have to do that soon. Thanks.
