Need prayers and good thoughts please

Once again thank you for this board! It's so nice to have a place to ask for support and help when you don't want family hearing anything just yet.

Apparently my hubby has been feeling really bad but didn't say anything. I knew about some things but didn't put 2+2 together. Today he decided it was all getting to him too much and said he needed to go to the doctor.

With all the different things going on the doctor told him that all symptoms fit two scenarios.. One being a thyroid problem.. the other.. The Big "C"..

I feel SO bad. He came home very shaken up obviously and scared to death. There is nothing we can really do until Friday when he gets the blood test results. I will go with him this time but oh man..

Im trying very hard to not break down myself. We don't want to scare the kids or anyone else of course. So please send prayers our way and if you don't pray.. good thoughts are appreciated too..

(((hugs!))) Of course I'll pray for him, and for you too! I'd be very scared as well but try to remember that even the big C isn't unbeatable. There is a lot of reason for hope.

Karen is right, my mom is a breast cancer survivor of over 5 years now...

Like all men...feel icky, so what, finally decide to go to a doctor... glad he went, and hopefully with turn out to be nothing serious, ie C but rather something less benign.

Thank you all so much! It sucks to always have to put up a "tough" front when all you want to do is sit somewhere quiet and just cry for awhile.. Yeah.. try to find a quiet spot around here at any give time.. not happening.. but reading all your kind words gave me at least a few seconds to just cry..

((((( so sorry sweetie))))) He will get through it and you will too. And you know what, I bet that he would love for you to just set on the bed with him and hold him while both of you cry a little. Yes you have to be strong after that, cause we all know that the women are the ones who hold the family together, but it might help you both to let each other know you are scared. its perfectly natural.

I am very sorry Connie. I pray everything will be ok. My father and my brother both have cancer, but they are both still fighting and winning.

Thank you all for your support... GOOD NEWS.. everything is fine.. No big "C".. he has low testosterone.. Now they want to figure out why and put him on a supplement..

I don't understand the point of more expensive tests just to figure out "why".. isn't it just probably an age thing? oh well.. thank goodness for good news..

Had to laugh though because yesterday or the day before I saw the commercial "are you just a shadow of yourself".. it sounded JUST like what he is going through and it was a commercial for lowT. I should just watch more commercials and call myself a doctor.

Oh Connie! That's wonderful news! I'm so happy for you. I bet he's so relieved, too. Thank goodness it's something treatable.
