weather
60 here today.... doesn't get any better, afterall we moved south to get away from the snow! Although the temp will begin to drop, there is not a below 39 daytime for the next several days.

Re: weather
We didn't get quite as warm, Dee. There's still a bit of snow visible on the ground. But I have to say I was happy that it's warm. I usually like a white Christmas, but since I'm not feeling good, the warmth is nice.
Re: weather
it is in the 70's here, but will get colder tomorrow I think. I don't care since I am staying home on Christmas day, it can snow for all I care...LOL

Re: weather
It warmed up today a bit it's 23 now and we have some flurries. Yesterday was COLD 12 with a neg windchill factor. Christmas is suppose to be almost 40, I'm ready for that heat wave, lol.
Re: weather
It's 18F here right now. We've had about 10 inches of snow from about 1:00 yesterday to today, and they are expecting more by evening. Heavy periods of snow at times...but mostly it's just coming down at a normal steady rate and acummulating.

Re: weather
We have very little on the ground. Enough to see white but not quite enough to cover it, lol. We are suppose to get flurries all day and maybe a trace of accumulation but it's suppose to warm up and rain tomorrow just in time for a green Christmas. I know I shouldn't complain because Jan and Feb will bring enough snow to make me hate it, but... I would be happy if it only snowed (and just a little) on Christmas I like snow, when it's fresh and pretty, so looking out my back window is nice but that is it. The plows with the sand and the salt and the salt brine go through and turn all that fresh white to nasty piles of brown yuck and it is depressing to look at for months on end. Oh and the less snow the better for sleeping. Otherwise stupid people on snowmobiles tear past the house all night long to get to the lake and wake up the kids (and us) over and over and over and over and over. Unfortunately it's a state road and as long as they are on the side of it we can't do anything about it but deal with it.
Looking forward to Spring

Re: weather
That's what the thermometer says but it "feels like" 10. I hate extreme weather- I do anything between 30 and 70 well, lol.
Re: weather
As a northerner, I'll speak for all of us when I point out one benefit of this arctic weather around holidays. All I need to do is set something outside. I never run out of refrigerator or freezer space. Bake cookies, set them out in the screen porch and bake the next batch. Leftovers go right outside. We did have a problem one year. We were sitting at the kitchen table and I saw some movement in the screen porch. My dad's dog had gone outside but smelled the tukey and busted through the screen door to get at it. We got her before she did much damage. Still laugh about it, though.

Re: weather
It's chilly here, but not too bad -- about -6 C. There's still only a dusting of snow though. We're supposed to get freezing rain on Christmas day so I might end up spending the day at home yet!
Re: weather
Um, -6 is 21F, thats not "not bad" thats "DAMNED COLD"!
I do 50-90 well, nothing out of that margin

Re: weather
shiver.... 61 here today... going into the 40's over the next few days... I can handle that... but have a hard time (and I get grumpy) with the weather you northern's are and will experience!
