Weather

We have a winter weather advisory out for today. We still aren't done digging. Yesterday we had to go home early due to equipment breaking. We have about a full day and a half left about 16 hours to finish up. However we didn't start out first thing this morning ( I imagine they are still fixing the machinery and that we will get a phonecall as soon as they finish) However it's calling for snowfall sometime around 2pm and then after that mixed rain and snow 90% chance. We can dig in the snow (it sucks really badly, but it's possible, as long as it doesn't make the ground really slimy) we cannot dig in the rain though because it gets muddy and the tractors and trucks get stuck. So the last of what we have to finish up is not going to be fun at all.

We are having wet weather. A cold front is coming thru, and we are getting rain bands off that Pacific hurricane "rick", the one in Mexico. Tornado watches, and warnings, flood warnings, and the tide is high, so there is water over the road at the bridges( one bridge on each end of town, the only ways out unless you want to go 30 miles out of the way).....I think I would rather snow, almost.

Our weather is quite nice today. Cool, but no rain.

I think we had 7 inches of rain...over for now I HOPE.

so not ready for snow... our newspaper ran a story today, that in Western KY, we can expect a colder and snowier winter BUT due to the cold, there won't be a repeat of the ice storm we had back in Feb...

Either way, just not ready... still working on cleaning up and readying the gardens for fall..... never enough time.

OMG way too much snow ... but of course, you do live a whole lot further north than me

Hopefully Kelly it'll be short lived... cause even in Maine, this has to be too early for that kind of snow!

It's surreal looking at that snow. We had such a lovely day here. T-shirt weather with a nice breeze.

and I really want a couple more before snow comes. I use to love winter... before kids. It's just so much damn work now just to go to the store and my house is cluttered with hats and gloves and coats. I'm already ready for spring, lol.

The high temp tomorrow is supposed to be 39, but sunny. Sat we are supposed to get rain and possible snow, Sunday is supposed to be much warmer at 47..so I don't think this snow will stay. That said, I do think winter will be much earlier for us this year.

It's an El Nino winter, wetter and colder, the whole US....gonna suck

The snow is still there this morning, it's not going to be a sunny day as predicted, it's quite cloudy out. I hope to God they don't want to go out and dig in this today. I don't know that they could, how would they be able to see anything while they were digging because the snow is covering everything? I don't believe we will, when it melts though as long as it's not too wet to get out there I think he will try then.

we got down to 49 last night, and maybe cooler tonite.....and hopefully not any cooler......mid 40's is enough for me. We will get to 80ish today though..
