I feel just like Chelle.
I'm trying to make bunk beds this weekend, and bake a cake for Quinn's birthday, and clean house, and go see family for the birthday party.
And of course the project is going exactly like Chelle descibes hers. Plan everything out, ask hubby questions to be sure everything is just like it's supposed to be, measure and cut everything EXACTLY as I described to him that I was about to, have him say, "Well, you know...", then have to go get more wood and measure and cut again because he decided to change the plans AFTER he'd already looked at them and said they were right. Then have all four kids trying to 'help' at every stage of the project, including priming and painting. Bear in mind that the youngest is turning 3.
Luckily Scott had some extra wood from a previous project so the changes didn't involve spending money or driving back into town. But so far he's changed the plan twice and we're only half done. I don't mind the changes, seeing as how they're making it stronger and safer. But I do wish he'd have said something when I first drew everything out instead of mid-project.
So... now that it's too dark out to continue work on the bunk beds, I'll be starting on the cakes. I'm tired just thinking about it. Fortunately it's a simple cake. Nothing too fancy. I know I don't have that in me.

Happy Birthday to Quinn! What kind of cake are you making him? I want to see pictures.
I hear ya, you just described every project in my house. Although I only have the Zoe/ Quinn equivalents, no older ones that could be useful. LOL
Here's mine. Robby moved the dishwasher to it's permanent location and did the plumbing. He started at 9:30 this morning and it's still not done. Keep in mind he only moved it approx 2 feet. He went back to the store twice, lost his tools 300 times or more. I just now got water back on... it's been a long day. If it wasn't so frustrating, watching him waste 4 hours combined looking for the damn drill (which isn't very small), would be funny. Not once but twice it was finally discovered on the back of the toilet twice and on top of the fridge, that's not counting the numerous times Rylan took it to "fix" things. I am considering tying all his tools on rope and tying them to him. That way I can force him to know where they are, he has tool belts and boxes but just can not pay attention.

ROFLMAO Karen... It actually is funny when it happens to someone else. LOL
I am through with the 'remodiling projects' around here for a while. I hung the curtains today and thats IT! (by the way, I won the bet, the shelves STILL are not up and all the paint is DONE, including the things I had to wait to get done-- like the unexpected trim that he put around the windows, and the window sill he built..
Tara, GREAT idea on the rope!! I swear, I get blamed for more shit going missing and havent even touched it... LOL
