Erin, are you a master gardener? I have a black thumb and am so jealous of you folks who can make things grow.

I went, I saw, I did not take pics
They asked us at the gate to leave our cameras in the car. NO acceptions, and I understood why as soon as we went thru the gate. There are little kids everywhere, anyone over age 2 is male, but I did see a few baby girls, under 2. I asked and one of the Monks explained the revolving cradle to me. Apparently they have one, and use it.....the girls are adopted out, and the boys are raised in the monastery.... They only ask that the exact name, and birthdate of the child be given....all very strange. Legal?? who knows.
I am fascinated by Buddhism anyway.
The garden was spectacular, they grow Lotus, Tylee, and all sort of species of bamboo. Was fascinating. They also grow one type of bromeliad, and they are gorgeous. They have water gardens, and it is so peaceful. We were invited back in the fall, when the bamboo blooms, can't wait for that either.
Yeah Karen, I took a class about 10 years ago, on gardening thru the county extension office.....I can grow anything...LOL
