How are things in your neck of the woods?? Empty How are things in your neck of the woods??

Post by KellyM Wed Jun 03, 2009 11:12 am

Not too bad of a day today so far here. I woke up feeling crappy from a sudden sinus cold, and still am feeling crappy but it's not horrible. I went shopping online at BBW from a gift card I earned with MyPts, bought a couple things for Wynonna for x-mas with it. Then I checked my e-mail and had a survey for 75 pts, it ended up being a product test plus I earned the 75 points too, so I was happy with that. It looks like we might have some sun today, kids are in school and Krishn is at work and I am sipping my coffee. I guess you could say that in spite of my sinus cold I am content today...what are all of you doing? Errands? Cleaning? Work? Whats on your agenda?

We have had one storm already this morning. Right now it is pretty and sunny, but more storms are on the way.
I'm going to get this house cleaned, I'm off today so I'll be on that all day. I have some things I need to do outside, but since it is going to storm and rain, I'll do things inside.

I should be cleaning house and being productive. Instead I'm still in my nightgown and am relaxing and writing some on my blog. Today is Scott's last day of school and the kids finish tomorrow. Caly will be leaving right after school to go on a small trip with her Grandma to visit extended family so this afternoon we need to pack and make sure she has everything she needs. But until they come home I'm just going to blow everything off and watch cartoons with Zoe and Quinn.

Wow, yours get out of school tomorrow? Ours go until the 19th of June. Of course they have to make up some storm days from this winter too, but that is only 3 storm days they have to make up..

I don't blame you one bit for charging. It is worth your time and supplies. I charged for mine when I made them. I didn't at first, but then got taken advantage of, so I took advantage back.

So while I was shopping BBW online( courtesy of MyPts) for Wynonna, I noticed that they had the Victorias Secret Pink Shower & Shave Body Wash Fresh & Clean for $6.00 on sale..she loves this stuff.. I wish they would have had the body spray of the same scent on sale for a better price. They did have them 2 for $20.00 but I don't need 2, and just one was $15.00. Still, I have a cute pink canvas purse to put the Body wash in and I'll probably get a pink colored shower pouf at Walmart to put in it, it should make a cute gift for x-mas. I also have 2 pair of fleece pj's the tops and bottoms that I got on clearance this winter at Walmart for $3.00 a pair. They are really cute, one has cupcakes on it, the other is stripes. I know it's early, but are any of you keeping an eye out for bargains for x-mas already? I have to, every time we have ever waited until last minute and it was too difficult. Especially where all hubby's families birthdays anniversaries are in Oct and Nov (8 of them) and then we get hit with the fuel bill and then x-mas.

I am cleaning , laundry, and getting ready for our last regular season game tonite. Then we have playoffs.
A friend stopped by with her baby, and we had lunch.
I am getting stuff done to help my friend replace her drywall later this week. we are trying to get her baby's room done before she goes on bedrest later this month, she is having twins in Sept.
My sister is having a C/section on 7/29, and I am trying to get stuff together for her baby shower.
We are having a HUGE 4th BBQ, and I am planning for that.....making lists of stuff I need to get.
Other than that i will be taking a nap on the couch later, after my Dad and His wife and my nephew come by to pick some crap up.

I should be cleaning but as soon as the DBF gets home it will all be for nothing as his clothes get thrown about. I did go to the pool for a swim and a little tanning. I'll probably go back after he gets home too. IT's actually a lazy day today. I'm hoping a friend comes over who I haven't seen in a bit.

Yup Chelle i'm curious to know what you've come for "anything horses" as well! You're very imaginative with your cakes!

The only thing that isn't much fun about this week is most of the kids in our apartment complex will be out of school as of tomorrow so it def. won't be as quiet at the pool lol. My nieces like it though b/c there is always someone there to play with!

I start at the end of June. I just started writing a post on this on my blog but didn't publish it yet. I shop the first half of the year for the kids' birthdays (they all have summer birthdays) and the second half for Christmas. It DOES make a huge difference in being able to relax and enjoy the holiday.

It is so strange that we're having this conversation. I just got back from goodwill where I bought some non-stick cookie sheets that had gingerbread men imprinted in the metal.

I got both of these sheets. I paid $4.50 each, but I mostly got them as a gift for Zoe. She was very excited and we plan on making Christmas cookies this week, LOL.

Another day of rain today. I am so sick of rain, and when we need it in August we won't see it for months.
We're under another flash flood watch until 4 this evening.

Thats not a horse, it's a My little pony....LMAO

OMG I am headed out tomorrow to the Buu mon temple, the local buddhist temple. They have a Lotus and Bamboo water garden that I have been trying to get into for YEARS!
They are having a festival, this weekend, but "Master Gardeners" are invited for a private showing tomorrow....I cannot wait.
