Mypoints toolbar Empty Mypoints toolbar

Post by briteasafirefly Mon Mar 23, 2009 3:07 pm

I used to have the mypoints toolbar on my old laptop and really liked it. I liked seeing how many points I had at all times.
Old laptop bit the dust, so I got a new laptop. I cannot for the life of me get the toolbar to work. Its there, but in the points section it says "toolbar error, pelase click here". I've tried several times to uninstall it and try again, but nothing is happening. Even with the "new" toolbar, I can't get it to work.

Does anyone else have this problem? Any secrets to how to get it to work?

I miss seeing my points all the time....

I'm with you... anything that can get me points... and I mean, don't we all want to know about John & Elizabeth Edwards? a star we saw in a movie... you name it, I seach it LOL...

But have not downloaded the toolbar... long as I do 75 searches a month, think I get 75 or 100 MP... makes me happy, and that much closer to a Outback or Applebee's GC!

the toolbar is 100 points if you download it....

1 to 10 searches= 10 points
11-20 searches=25 points
1-30 searches=50 points
31+ seaches 75 points

plus it says double points the months of August and September...

tempting, but my computer is over emoting these days, so have uninstalled some unnecessary apps and run a lot of spyware apps lately.... afraid we could be on our last legs :-(

I make a point of doing at least 75 searches on MY each month, \by doing 3-4 each month... I just have to keep track! as I get the same point value as you who have downloaded the tool bar.

i should have clarified when I posted the points... why do 75 searches if you only need 31 to get the maximum number of points a month?

I think if you don't download the toolbar, you don't get the same point value. For us just using them as a search engine, 75 searches gets me 75 points... I do know that with the tool bar, you quite often get twice the value. I'm just not willing to download another app on my computer, because as I said, it's running slow or freezing up lots these days. Heck, I even took of weather.com desktop app, which I so relied on, and totally miss.
