For Me, a most AWESOME Christmas present

The end of last week, I entered our state Senators lottery for tickets to Obama's inauguration ceremony...

Well, on Monday I got a call from his office..

I won 2 tickets to this most historical event, over 15k people entered and I can not believe that I won.

I simply can not wait. I have a cousin who lives in Alexandria VA and we will be staying with her...so we do not need to find lodging.

Wow! My son had the opportunity to go with a school group, but it was enormously expensive (4 or 5 hundred dollars) and they were only staying for a day. Not something we can afford.

wow wow wow... how cool is that! not only doing something that is going to be a long time coming, but that you also have housing at no cost (except maybe dinner if you take relatives out for dinner).... This is a wonderful opportunity! I echo everyone, take and post lots of photos, even if you don't get to see Obama, just love to see the candid people shots.

To thank my Senator, I am going to volunteer my time at a local homeless shelter, Courtney is a huge advocate for our Vets who have been forgotten by our Government...it is the least I can do.
