Mine came yesterday. At JCPenney. I went for $200 coats advertised for 59.99... I wanted a red pea coat (jacket)... they had one left in my size (well they had black and they has fushia... but I wanted red). It's a wool/cashmere blend.

Bottom line: $42.48... had a discount coupon plus a $10 in-store coupon ... Merrry Christmas to me santa

I don't think I got any extreme bargains this year, but...

Had DS in Macy's trying on "dressy" coats. The one he liked was $125 but the sign said it was on sale for $99. When I bought it, it rang up $55...surprising the heck out of me in a good way for once!

Was picking up some chocolates online at Fannie May and when I went to check out I was offered a 1.5 pound Deck the Halls tin for under $10. I put three in my cart and then discarded a couple of full-price items. They are really nice gifts and a real bargain.

I should start sending you guys my $10 JC Penney coupons when I get them. I just don't have a JC Penney within an hours drive so rarely get there. Sounds like you got some great deals there.

Oh and the staples batteries this month. They are a hell of a deal. 2 per customer per week. 20 packs $12.99 get it all back in rewards. I've been buying them every week and will use them for free ink next month.

There is a smaller Penney's a few towns over. They don't have as big of a selection but they have really awesome clearance prices (my PJ bottoms were $.99- the kids were $1.60 each) but you have to search for it. When I go to the bigger one at the mall- I can spend days searching their clearance racks walk out with arm loads of stuff for pennies. I find good deals there to be way better than even garage sales or the salvation army.

I got 13 shirts, and 5 pants for Xander and a pair of boots for Bayley at Old navy for less than $50. Used a code online, and had a coupon from their webite for 25% off. Thats the only shopping I have done, and it's not even for Christmas, just stuff was on sale.

If you're talking about the total $10 off any purchase of $10 or more, I'm sure you could use them online... if you're talking, spend $50, get $10 coupon, well those are in every other print ad from JCP.

Lori, I'd love a few extra $10 JCP coupons! Thanks for the offer.

I keep meaning to do the staples battery deal. But I'm so broke this month from buying our new TV. I don't have the extra cash to buy the batteries, even if I will get all the money back.

I've gotten a few really sweet deals:

--The sally hanson nail polish RR deal from last month provided some of Caly's present, as well as some for my neice.
--I found audiobooks for Zaven marked down from $50-$60 each to $9.95 each.
--I got several of the $5 Hallmark coupons and bought $5 toys so I only had to pay tax.
--I used the rewards from my credit card to get Toys R Us gift cards and get presents for Quinn.
--I returned a few books to the bookstore that I'd received as gifts. They were duplicates of ones I already owned. I used the store credit to buy sale books for the kids and got 3 or 4 books for each one I returned.

but by far the best deal was snagged by Caly:
--She found 6 large sized magnetic close journals at Hastings that had been $17.99 each marked down to 2 cents each. There were six so she bought them all for a grand total of 13 cents including tax. We spent more on paper to wrap them with!

There aren't too many deals to be had around here this year. I did buy some jeans for Devon at sears.ca for under $10, but that was back in October. Dh did get a pretty good price on the camera he got me for Christmas. It usually sells for around $250, but he got it for $199. I was lucky that he gave it to me early so that I could figure out how to use it before Christmas!

Great deals everyone!

I forgot about my shopping trip to Kohl's after I had collected the Kohl's Cash I earned ($60) to spend in-store. Everything I bought was on sale, some as much as 2/3 off. When she rang me up, my subtotal was $128. Then she took off an additional 15% (I had a coupon), took off my $60 Kohl's Cash, and took off $5 from a coupon they had emailed me to use in-store or online. My total came to $51.40...and I paid with a $55 prepaid Visa card that I had received from a survey project. No dollars out of my pocket or on my credit card.
