What's for Supper Tonight?
I've got chicken defrosted. I'll probably do a swiss chicken casserole and then some kind of vegetable to go with it. The kids will eat that without too much complaining!
Re: What's for Supper Tonight?
I'm making a Rachel Ray recipe for Chicken Sausage burgers with balsimic bbq sauce! My kids will eat almost anything!!!

Tonight I'm frying hamburg w/onions...adding corn w/the juice..tossing it in a pot w/some water and making a gravy out of it. Boiling potatoes and will pour the mix over those.
My kids will eat anything too...except the baby... that one is a very fussy eater!

We are having frozen pizza. I would prefer delivery, but no such thing in the country. Pizza is all I can handle today. My back flared up last Fri and I am still not walking well. I did go out today and make our farm payment and bought a few groceries, but I limped the entire time and now I am worn out!

Ouch, sorry to hear about your back... hope you're feeling better. And frozen pizza can be good, all you have to do is add more cheese, more seasoning, and presto!
Take care.

Re: What's for Supper Tonight?
Just finished canned tomato soup that I added some seasonings and left over cooked rice... along with crackers and cheese. Chuck had stuffed green peppers - yuk. We eat together, but often, not the same foods. Sort of like being in a restaurant

Ugh Honey! Sorry about your back! Back pain is absolutely the worst! Are you using heat or ice?? For me, the only thing that worked was heat and advil. Yuck!
The chicken sausage hamburgers came out good but BIG!!! LOL! Everyone ate them though, so they must have been good!

Re: What's for Supper Tonight?
Right now I am trying a big glass of wine It may not improve my back, but it can't hurt my mood!
I have a good feeling that tomorrow I will be much better. Then maybe I can get this place cleaned up

You'll think I'm a nut case but yoga!!! I swear it works, I have had major back issues since giving birth to my first kid, and I've been doing yoga for a couple months now and I haven't had a single back ache... nor have I had any surprise spasms not me out in the middle of the grocery store.
Re: What's for Supper Tonight?
Yoga's great for a lot of different ailments. I've been doing it for a few years and it may not cure you, but it will help many conditions.

Yes on the wine, no on the cleaning the place up. Your back definitely needs more rest and wine... so take tomorrow off. Dee's orders

I am doing better today, but you are right that I shouldn't clean up today. It will just set me back. Gosh, will just have to post here all day and watch tv I guess lol.
Yoga is a good idea too. I have always been interested in it. I am not sure we have any yoga classes here. I do have a dvd I ordered and never watched. I should go see if I can find that. Think I have one on meditation I haven't watched either. Both would help, I am sure. Thanks for the input everyone

Re: What's for Supper Tonight?
I would highly suggest a yoga class if you can find one! It helps to learn the positions correctly. It's very hard to learn from a DVD (speaking from my own personal experience). Now that I have more of a foundation of the basic poses, using a DVD is fine. I think any yoga you can do can/will make a big difference in your life, along with the meditation. Silence is golden! LOL!
Glad you are feeling better today! Take it easy for at least the next week!
