Re: Chelle?
They are saying that we are right at that if not a bit lower. I gots me some water drippin.. LOL
and I am sitting pretty at 71. actually, I am bumpin it up to 73. I just went to check on Rayley and couldnt find her. She is in a hole between 2 shelving units where her heater vent is. She is sleeping on top of it. LOL Then I went to check on the boys. Their vent is right in front of their dresser, and Brett was on it, with Matt beside him.
I put them all in their beds again. I was standing there when the heater came on and Rayley freaked out when it started blowing, she was sound asleep and it scared her to death. I had wondered why she had came in here earlier and said something about a huriccane and the wind. LOL
I am kinda glad that my boys got kicked off the bus, now i dont have to get Bow up and out (and ME) at 6 in the morning to drive down to the bus stop. my MIL drives right up to the house and I send them running. LOL

Re: Chelle?
how cold did y'all get? BR is starting to come down with a cold, and everytime he called me tonight he sounded worse. I cant afford for him to get pnumonia or even a bad cold right now. Not this close to christmas... GGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRR
Re: Chelle?
Hugging the heater vents reminds me of being young (and not so young!) and standing over the floor vent with a long flannel nightgown on. The warm air fills your nightgown and it blows up like a balloon. And if the sleeves had elastic at the wrists, the arms would fill up with warm air, too. It was so nice and cozy and a great way to warm up in a hurry.

Re: Chelle?
We have central heat in the Travel trailer, a toasty 75 degrees....
It was 28 here this morning, even though the weatherman said it was 33. MY thermometer outside said 28.....too freakin cold. I did drip the faucets, but basically have a water hose running across the yard, didn't freeze though. I was more worried about the tanks, thank god they are enclosed.

Oh, I had to get out and take bay to school. She is off the bus for a week, some High School kid hit her in the face yesterday, and she planted im one in the eye. He is in 9th grade, but she is the same size as him, probably taller.....he has a black eye, she is uninjured.

Re: Chelle?
I hate when they punish a kid for standing up for themselves. THey do it at our kid's school all the time. And no, I'm not talking about my own kids, although it has happened to them. But it's really common here. The kids who know how to work the system will start a fight when the adults aren't looking, but yell real loud when their victim hits back. All the teacher sees is the victim hitting someone, so they're the one who gets in trouble. Although, last year when Zaven got suspended for that, all the teachers knew what had happened and all of them let him retake the assignments and tests he missed (they're not supposed to if he was suspended) and some of them gave him "bonus work" like writing his name on a piece of paper. They all knew the kid he hit had been a bully for years.
Re: Chelle?
I hate that too, Karen. Our local school lost an excellent devoted volunteer because the school chose to believe a child's version of something that happened, rather than believing her story of what she saw happen. She had had enough and up and quit.

Re: Chelle?
OH, they BOTH got in trouble, the boy is suspended from school for 2 weeks. I threatened to file charges, since she is in the 6th grade, and he is in 9th. She is off the bus for this week, no big deal really since half the time I bring her anyway, we cannot seem to get our lazy butts out of bed early enough for the bus...
And the reason he hit her? He "likes her" I very bluntly told him I would cut it off for him if he so much as LOOKED at my 11YO( I stressed 11 to him and his MOM) again....damn freaky kids.

Re: Chelle?
Good Lord Erin.. That is sooo stupid!! This ZERO tolerance crap is getting out of hand. There is no common sense anymore.. (yes, I am biased... but still, .. ) and I feel for you on the stupid bus thing. I might fight mines suspension for the rest of the shcool year after we go back in January. I cant rely on MIL to always take mine in... and I agree, the differnce in 9th grade and 6th grade is WAY too much at that age!!
Karen, that is SOOO nice of the teachers. when the boys got kicked out last month for 7 days, their principal let them do all their work, and allowed it to be graded. truthfully she wasnt supposed to, but I think deep down she knew it was a bogus rap...
Lori, I can understand why the woman walked away. Sometimes its just NOT worth it. But its sad, cause volunteers are hard to come by. and Good ones are even harder!
I have a pic
OH and I LOVE the vents. and we used to do that too Lori. LOL I also have to admit to doing it as an adult.. LOL Bow Likes to stick his face on them.

Re: Chelle?
You cold yet erin? LOL
I just about froze my ass off today, I had to wear a dress cause I went to a funeral. Fine and dandy, till it came time to stand outside and wait on the body... THEN at the graveside.. I was shivering so bad you could visibly see it! LOL
But They say tomorrow we will be 59. I will be down to 26 tonight. Back into the mid 70's by MOnday. with RAIN LOL
Its times like these I would like to have a fire place to just watch. The heater is going. actually, its not, but its 72 in here. But I do miss a fire.

Got the heater on, burning LOTS of propane, but who cares, friggin cold out. we should be down to 30-35, somewhere in there. I gotta go to afuneral tomorrow, then go to winnie....probably freeze to death.
It's gonna warm up and rain, then get cold again. And i wonder why I have sinus issues.........

Re: Chelle?
what is the deal with all the folks dying? I have had a funeral a week for a month and then one last month..
Oh, its the season.. ever notice how more folks die around Christmas/Thanksgiving?
ANd I know what you mean with the sinus issues, me and the kids have been off and on with them. Matt is real bad. as usual. Brett ws sounding bad tonight. But BR has gotten some sort of a staph infection in his sinus cavity.. He hasnt worked in 4 days, managed to try to starve himself today cause I wasnt home, and has eaten enough Vicoden to make Nicole Richie jealous. and he NEVER takes pain pills. Oh and 2 steroid shots..
And the Dr told us how to get ahold of him this weekend if it gets worse. Dr's NEVER do that.
