Happy Turkey Day to everyone!
I will also be busy. Gotta go to the store tonite to pick up what we are gonna make, and then I will be cooking most of the day tomorrow.

Happy Thanksgiving, all!
It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without my annual "Sending of the Scary Turkey-Day Card"!
Please Enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving Everybody!
I probably won't be on much either in the next few days..Krishn likes to do the Turkey, but I make everything else. I will probably have to start making pies today since he will have the turkey in the oven all day long tomorrow. Then tomorrow night I have a cake that I have to start making. I can't wait for turkey though...

OH NO crystajewel!! I hate packing and moving!!
My sympothies!!
Happy Thanksgiving to all of y'all.
I get to go to my moms. I cant wait. A full day of berating, and cheap shots, then absolute horror and heartbreak when I finaly tell her to mind her own business. OH and really really crappy food.

Aww chelle, you are welcome to come here... I wouldn't send you home until you were stuffed full of good food. Instead of being berated we would spend all day berating and making cheap shots about people I know, that REALLY deserve it, and we could tell anyone that bothered us to mind their own business..

Re: Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!
No cooking for me... but will be enjoying a huge dinner with a huge guest list (23 last count) at a friend's house. Amy takes in all us orphans on thanksgiving... her hubby does a fried turkey, Amy a roast turkey and a ham. Normally all guests bring side dishes.. but this year, Amy requested no one bring sides, but instead bring a bag of food that she, her two young children and hubby will take to the Salvation Army or some church on Friday...
All I'm bringing is extra flatware, wine and a hubby along with a hearty appetite. You all all enjoy the day with your family and friends.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!
I'm heading to my MIL's house. I love her to death, but we always have to fight over the food. She used to be a really great cook, but she's gotten paranoid about food poisoning. She'll cook things 'til they're hard as rock, and if you take them out, she'll put them back in "to warm them up" at full heat for an extra half hour or hour or eight. I'm also a super picky eater and she'll decided to make some of my childhood favorites, which is so nice of her. But then she'll decide to mess with the recipe so it never does taste like I remember. However, I do love her to death so I forgive her for over-cooking and recipe-meddling and the like.
Interestingly, my mom's cooking has also devolved. She used to be a very good cook but a few years ago she started to drive me and my sister crazy by inviting both our families, but then not having near enough of any of one kind of food. To feed 12 people, she'd have part of a roast (enough to feed 5) and part of a ham (enough to feed 6) and say she could make some hamburgers because she had enough hamburger meat for 4 or 5 people. 4 sweet potatos and a pot of rice that will not be enough for everyone, a small salad, 2 servings of green beans, etc. So it's enough food, but not enough of any particular item for everyone to get a serving. It's like she's just trying to clean out her fridge. Which is fine, but not for Christmas dinner.
