My summer vacation
This summer I went on a road trip to Williamsburg. We visited with family, enjoyed the sights, went to a few restaurants, and I read a great book.
Of course, this was actually trip to Williamsburg Kentucky (which is basically nowhere) to pick up said family whose vehicle had broken down on the roadside. The sights we saw were some stupid billboards, the restaurants were Wendy's and McDonalds, and I read the book while trying to ignore the in depth discussion of car repairs, sleeping arrangements, etc. But it was strangely fun, so I won't complain.

Re: My summer vacation
My sister and I went to Wichita for a few days. We were to go with my hubby and daughter, as well as some friends. Daughter went to Miami to see our other daughter, and hubby had to work. The friends went, but despite being at the same hotel, we never saw them even once.
It was great to get away from all of the noise here(barking dogs and screaming toddler) and have access to shopping (shopping deprived here in the country), but we did nothing exciting to most people lol. Our hotel room was really a nice apartment that was close to 1000 sq ft, so it had all the comforts of home. We only ate out twice in 4 days and I had $200 in gas cards, so it didn't cost us too dearly. The biggest bummer was there was no CVS there I had looked up the addresses online and was given 3. After driving all over, we called the phone numbers and found out they had all closed We really stocked up on Sun papers for two different weeks at Barnes & Noble. So we did get plenty of good deals at Walgreens and Target, as well as Dilliards
