Fave vacation spots
Where's everyones favorite vacation spot? I used to love gulf shores/ Pensacola fl. (thanks bp for ruining it!!!) I was born in Pensacola fl so I am a waterbaby! Nothing better than sand under my toes and the crashing of waves. My son loves it too! Before I had kids me n the hubby lived in gulf shores n he taught me to surf. So speak up fave vacation spots:

Re: Fave vacation spots
When we were young we always rented cottages around Northern Michigan. We'd swim, fish, and sightsee. Now I'm lucky enough to live there. I love all of our lakes and forests, and I love being within an easy drive of Mackinac Island, waterfalls, and the Straits of Mackinac. I'm happy. I like traveling, but can't say I have a favorite vacation area. It's nice to have warm weather in the middle of winter, but I'm not a warm weather person.

My dad lives in Michigan! I've never been, though. Maybe sometime when the kids are older because we'd have to drive/ train?. I'm deathly afraid of airplanes! You'd have to knock me out and drag me aboard!

I live on the Gulf Coast, so I get enough sand, thank you.... Locally my fave spot if Galveston, 1.5 hours away, and lots to see and do, and oddly, not alot of sand anymore...thanks Ike. Not locally, um, Arkansas, Breckinridge CO, and Jamaica

Re: Fave vacation spots
I have so many fav spots...each with special memories...
1. Oahu, Hawaii
2. Key West
3. Charleston, SC
4. Napa Valley
5. San Francisco
I would name San Diego, Boston, and Orlando (but those are the places we used to call home so it wasn't really a "vacation spot")

Nothing like the beautiful Oregon coast, especially near Astoria down to the Newport area. Gorgeous scenery and lots of nice family memories. Most of all, i find myself being centered again after visiting there. Love seeing the seals and the whales along the coast.
