Wow...you people talk A LOT! LOL

I usually only get a chance to get on here in the evenings or late at night and it takes me a good hour or two just to get through reading all the posts!! Maybe that's why i only have 35 posts and you all have...what 300? LOL Now that we don't have re-runs constantly, I sit back and enjoy my shows and then come and check on the happenings here....you are all here when I'm watching TV or cleaning up dinner and I miss the action! I'm going to have to do better, I see... (watch...there will be 10 posts to this before I even get back on tomorrow...lol)

I know what you mean fergui... I tend to sign off early on work nights... and I always have a nice list to read when I get back in the morning..
Then it starts over when I get in from work..

I love having it to look forward to!

I was a bit lost myself on Saturday when I was out for the day. I'll be really lost when I got back to work on the weekend!

I too tend to watch TV at night, might check things out during commercials, but usually spend morning time reading and catching up on last nights chit chat.

Wow...only 5 posts on my thread but it has already taken me 40 min to read all the others and I'm only half way through!! LOL

Now, i probably won't be on tonight, though. There are storms hitting here now and with my pc I don't like having it on during the lightning storms. It would be my luck that it would get fried. So I'll probably be back tomorrow....

And I'm glad to see that I'm not the only TV watcher, but I still don't find the time to post as much as you all do. I know, maybe I'm fighting the addiction harder!!

Oh no Kath... you should get a dvr. On second thought if you don't have one- don't get one. They cause you too watch far too much tv and once you have one it's like air, you can't live without it, lol.

I am thinking of bumping up my cable so they give me one..

the thing is, with the bundle we have it would be cheaper to do that than to stay at the cable level where I am.. ironic.....but true

I cant stand live TV anymore. I hate commercials. I have to be able to pause it. Especially with kids. I would never get to watch TV with kids if it wernt for the DVR. PLUS now that I am gone in the evenings I would really be screwed

That's what I thought too, then about 3 months ago I called them and started throwing out words like "Satellite dish" & "Cancellation"! LOL I even told them that my dh was so pissed about the prices they were charging and the amount of times that it went out, that he had started looking into the satellite companies and had already gotten the price quotes for them. I told them that if they didn't drop the price or put me on one of those "first time user" specials (We've been with them for several years) then I wouldn't be able to convince him to keep the cable. Before I was even done with my little speech, the lady said "No problem, I already added you to one of our specials and it will be good for the next year and all you have to do is call in again then and they will put it back on." It lowered my bill by HALF!! COOL!!! lol Try it!

Trish, that is so true, and sometimes it happens when you least expect it. My husband had called the trash company to cancel his account so he could choose a different company. They told him that when he signed up for his account he had tied himself in for a set period and told him when it would be expiring...then they cut his bill in half for the remainder of his term! He never even asked for a discount, and the reason he was switching had nothing to do with price, but with how many big old trucks would be coming down our dirt road. All of us neighbors were trying to get with the same service.

That's cool, Lori...I've never been THAT lucky. I always have to call and complain or ask for a discount. I've been known to go straight to the supervisors and then I usually get what I want. He used to be the diplomatic one and had me make the calls and do the bitching...but over the years he has gotten to where he will just pick up the phone and do it. I've never been ballsy enough to go to the top, though.

ANd I will call the company in a heat beat. Got a months supply of singular for matt this morning for FREE. The pharmacy screwed me around for 2 weeks, adn finaly just gave it to me. ( I had a script, but they kept screwing up.) thats 150.00 for 30 days. I am SO relived.. I wont have an extra 150.00 ths month though.. it will go to gas.. LOL

This has been a busy long week for me. With the storms I haven't had my computer on much. And I've been working at the school most of the week (I'm a high school substitute), then I had 2 job interviews as well. Then I had to have a cyst removed from my right wrist yesterday and have been told to NOT USE IT. You see how well I'm listening to that order. Typing with one hand, but just can't get the mouse to work right when I use my left hand. LOL Damn it!! Do you know how hard it is to do laundry and dishes with one hand? LMAO

Glad to see you back! I was also wondering where you'd been, but we've been so swamped that I didn't have time to come to your house and hunt you down. And they forgot to tell you the other big news. I've been demoted to moderator.
