Strawberry recipes?
Hi everyone!
We picked a million strawberries a few days ago, and have been busy eating and freezing them. I made ice cream topping, strawberry bread and strawberry cake (we stored the leftovers in Ziploc Twist 'N Loc containers - does that constitute Bzz? Just Kidding! ).
Anyway, we are running out of ideas for other tasty things to make. I saw the stuffed strawberry post, and thought maybe you guys would have some other great recipes to share!
Thanks!

Re: Strawberry recipes?
Wow! I can't believe you have strawberries already! We won't get any here until next month!
Re: Strawberry recipes?
Did you do strawberry ice cream? Just as sugar to taste, toss and let sit in fridge until ice cream is 3/4 done churning. Then add strawberries to freezer and let it go until it stops. I swear there's nothing like it.
Also, make strawberry vinegar. If you want use expensive rice vinegar. Or regular white vinegar with about 1/4 cup of water added. Let clean, hulled strawberries drain until they are dry. You can chop them or halve. Put in a big sterilized container and top off with the vinegar/water mixture. Let sit for a month. I use this on watermelon, just add a bit of sugar to the vinegar and sprinkle on melon or any fruit. Delicious!
Don't forget the jam, either cooked or freezer...
