Both mine were 14 hours and I don't remember much of them, I was given drugs both times as Daniel broke the tip of my tailbone and Haylee finished it off. I don remember at the end of Haylee's I asked for them to pull her out cause she wasn't moving over my pubic bone, so they suctioned her out.

I dont have a personal story other than I was two months premature and my sister was 2 weeks overdue and we were both breach babies and their was nothing the dr could do. My mom laughs because my sis and I are both headstrong and WANTED OUT! She also decided after two breaches not to have any more kids.

Yes this is quite boring in respects to some stories here which make me say OUCH or get goose bumps but take it from a tiny preemie - we catch up and live very happy lives.

Noah (My Oldest) was my scary one. I was 18, and it was three weeks before my due date. It was midnight 10/15/02, and something just didn't feel right. So I called my mom in my room and told her that I thought I was having contractions. Well we timed them, and sure enough I was...Well we rushed to the hospital, I got admitted, and I was so sick.....they gave me an epidural, and I went to sleep and don't even remember having the baby. He was born at 5:30 a.m. and I got to hold him for about 15 mins and they rushed him out. I went back to sleep and was in my room and all of a sudden in the background I hear my mom yelling for the nurse...Turns out, I was passed out, white as a sheet. They rushed me into the OR and turns out I had some of the uterus (sp?) still left, I had to have a mini DNC and 3 pints of blood because I had lost so much. Meanwhile, my son was having problems getting his bloodsugar regulated. The doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong. We were shipped to Savannah GA to the NICU unit there, and it was 3 days from the time he was born til we got there, that I got to hold him again...I had to beg and cry just to see him....it was bad, oh yeah, and When we got to Savannah, I blacked out and fell down stairs, but thorough my lip.....And they NEVER DID find out what was wrong with the baby...and a month later I brought him home...

My baby, Kole, his was very normal.....Other than the fact that I was sick thoughout the Whole pregnancy and had a killer earache....but couldn't take any meds. I was at home, my sister had stayed with me, so she was sleeping beside me. I woke her up about 11:30 and said, "I think I'm having contractions" She jumped right up and grabbed a watch and started timing. OH! I should mention, I was 21 when Kole was born, My little sis had just turned 11. Sure enough, I was in labor. I called the doc, and he told me to come into his office at 1. I called my mom and my step-mom, told them what was going on, and said I just don't think I'm going to make it to 1. We'll we went on to the hospital...I'm in SERIOUS ear ache pain...and begging the nurse for medicine for my ear....NOT the contractions....She was laughing at me saying most ppl want somthing for contractions, not ear aches...I told her they didn't compare near to the pain of my ear....So I got some demorl (sp?) Got fasinated with my moms watch (Yep, it made me REALLY REALLY loopy!) and then had my epi. I went to sleep for a while, and about 5:15 pm they woke me up to have the baby. I actually REMEMBER having Kole, and he was born at 5:30 p.m. and SUPRISE he was a boy. He was SUPPOSED to be a girl....even had 3 sonograms and he was a girl......I wasn't too suprised but the family sure was.

Hopefully, when me and SO decide to have another...we'll have a girl this time...I really REALLY want a girl!!

Razorstar! Wow, congratulations! I can't wait to hear the story. Smile

Chjoed, I'd think that with a broken tailbone, I just as soon NOT remember labor.

And Brandi, I loved hearing yours... too funny that you were the baby! I'll have to ask my mom about when I was born, LOL.
