How Neighborhood witch stories begin

Take one grumpy, hurting, toothless old woman ( hag)
Add one really nice saturday afternoon...
2 ten year old boys with home-made fliers
and a large loud dog


Have 2 boys knock on door of sleeping grumpy, etc
Have dog leap from love seat and bark above head of sleepy grumpy, etc
Who rolls off of couch narrowly avoiding hitting face on coffee table
But successfully knocking over glass of ginger ale.

Have grumpy hag
answer door to find 2 small boys
dog barking louder than should be possible in background

Small boys then shout something over dog noise about cutting grass..
grumpy hag ( with swollen face and carefully closed mouth)
shake head slowly
close door
glare at dog

wipe up ginger ale with last of keenex in box

voila

Oh my. I saw this title and new it was going to be something along those lines. I'm sorry kath, hang in there. Tomorrow is another day

At least I never saw them before so they can't be too near neighbors....

I am a pretty grumpy old lady myself when I am trying to nap lol. And 4 barking dogs are really loud lol!
A few weeks ago, I tried to nap one afternoon, but the phone kept waking up and making me really grumpy. I checked caller id later,and saw who all had called me. When he came home, I complained to my husband that he was one of the calls, he woke me when he called, and when I didn't answer he called my cell. I ask him in a mean voice, so what was so important? Poor guy says, I just just wanted you to know I had put money in your bank account, in case you were waiting to go to the store. Oh, is all I could say then.

sigh... It just doesn't pay to be grumpy. I can't even blame the drugs, all I am taking is Ibuprofen!

maybe I will get another chance with them some saturday

To be honest, I thought it might be my sister, or I wouldn't even have answered the door........

Someday you'll laugh, but it probably won't be today. I hope you're feeling better soon. Have fun with it and get yourself a black cat to fuel the stories!

I'm sorry, Kath, but I found that so funny, I was laughing while reading and thinking, my gosh, that girl should be sharing her wit and sense of humor... then I and said .... wait! She does... she has a blog. I could go check, maybe you have, but I think you need to put story on your blog

and believe me... YOU WILL FEEL BETTER and look back at this and say "gosh I'm glad I did that" (and sometimes you'll ask "why did I do that?") End of Jan/early Feb, I was feeling very much like you and I only had half as many teeth removed. So I really can't know how bad you feel, except to say,

Nope good old Southern Comfort and Coors, oh and fresh air and sunshine. It was nice enough to be outside! So we spent all day catching up with friends we have kinda ignored for the past few months. I hibernate in the winter, I hate the cold so we stay home as much as possible. Plus it helps save gas money while we attempt to afford oil.

ROFLMAO! You could never be a hag! Hags aren't fun and funny. They have no sense of humor.

I am going to attempt to overcome the grumpiness today

I am even going to step outside and get into the car..

Dan forgot to pick up my dogs meds yesterday, and it makes me very nervous.....

So I am going to go and get them, and some OJ and maybe yogurt instead of eating that
blasted pudding that Debbie keeps giving me. I know she is trying to help and be a good sister
but I am gagging on it already!!!!

I was even considering driving through McD's and getting a pancake..... wonder if that would work?
