What happened that was positive today?

My pool will be opened today. I didn't lose any food because of the power outage the other day. It's a beautiful day.

They were very fortunate... the market being so bad, they sold their house quickly and found this ones price had lowered considereably since they first looked at it 6 mos ago..

Love it... St Louis is doing so much to rebuild the older parts of a very historic city.... I clicked on the map to get a better idea of where it is... and I am familiar, somewhat.

They both have very good jobs and have worked hard to get a nice place.

my house was 40 thousand 20 years ago... and might be valued at 65, today... its a little white box on a double lot..

My positives:

1. Beautiful weather
2. Found out that Zaven will be in Scott's class this summer at Upward Bound. This was nice because otherwise neither one of us would see him at all for the next 2 and 1/2 weeks, and then just for a few days before he goes back for 3 more weeks. This way Scott will see him weekday mornings, but he'll still get the living away from home experience.
3. Free swim tonight at the new waterpark from 5-8
4. Caly will be able to attend the end of the year swim conference for the first time this year. It has always been held while she was away at camp. She'll also get to attend the awards ceremony/BBQ/pool party for the first time.
5. Even though my house is messy, it's not bothering me because I'm in a good mood.

I am happy for them... they have had a rough time finding something good..
things would look beautiful... but have the basement caving in!
Or or or.. you know how it is..

I am in a good mood today too...

-Hubby is working overtime (only good because we need the extra cash)

-My son has behaved all day, no whining, no fighting me on anything

-Gonna BBQ a little later with the neighbors

-Making some yummy scones (I love to bake and this is something I yet to do, hope they turn out good!)

-Found out that my favorite wrestler will be at the Comic Convention that I am going to this month. Mick Foley AKA Mankind AKA Dude Love AkA Cactus Jack... I met him once, when his first book came out, and I get to now have him sign his 2nd book! I love that man... and I told him, and will tell him again. =) lol

-Also found out that the creator of one of my favorite cartoons will also be at the Convention... I am so excited!!

Daughter has her kids for the weekend!

Friday Positives

1. Hubby took me to Idaho Falls for lunch.

2. I didn't lose my cell phone after all- I just found it! What a relief.

3. Its been a beautiful warm, sunny day.

My inlaws that are visiting (mother in law and sister in law) decided to go shopping and not sit around the house complaining! Ahhh 3 hours of freedom.

Ok I now that wasnt nice...in the words of Larry the Cable guy..."Lord I apologize..."

Saturday positives

1.Went to the Farmers market and bought my favorite cranberry walnut bread.

2. Bought myself some Haggen Daz strawberry ice cream- I am treating myself today!

3. Went to a yard sale and bought oodles of fairly new dvds for almost nothing and season 1 and 2 of Lost.

4. Sun is out, its warm, birds are singing and all's right with my world.

1. Got 3 mailed off for the Paperback Swap...

2. My Mom may have a box of clothes for my son that she got from an after-garage sale (friend of her's had one, and this is what hasn't sold)

3. My fiance got some of the comics that he has wanted... and surprised me with one for myself. #1 Milk and Cheese.

4. Got to eat Jimmy Johns #16 Club Lulu... I have not had that in over a year.

5. Best girlfriend called and will be coming by in a few hours..

6. May have sold some collectible dolls for what I wanted to, not having to lower the price. Which means that I am not losing money (not making a profit, but I am more looking to give these a good home)

7. Got a nap in.

8. Will get to watch "The Other Boleyn Girl"... started to watch last night, but too many distractions... I love Natalie Portman, and this era.

Today was my son's 2nd birthday party, and everyone (young and old) had a blast! We rented a Power Park (huge inflatable slide and bouncy area) and the kids loved it! I didn't know if my kids would like it, but they both LOVED it. We also had an Elmo pinata, and been telling DS that they would beat Elmo with a stick (wanted to make sure he knew it would break). The positive there, is we also rented an Elmo costume, and DS didn't once try to hit the "big" Elmo with a stick. LOL. I was so worried about that (the stick was away, but I thought he would try something, LOL) since all week he was going around the house saying he was going to beat Elmo with a stick. LOL

OK, yesterday's first:

The lights were only out for 15 minutes.
We went to see the Incredible Hulk and it was actually fairly good! (Oh, and for comic geeks, there is some cool stuff left open at the end!)
I got dinner grilled BEFORE the storms rolled in!
Spent a relaxing evening reading! (YEAH!)

For today:

Hubby LOVED all his gifts!
Hubby is having fun playing his new Wii Play with the boys!
We have NOTHING we HAVE to do today!

Had a nice filling breakfast.
Dinner was just as nice.
Hubby loved his gifts! =)
Got a new end table.
Am enjoying some quiet time while the boys nap. :-)
