Shaloha or Shitola?

I don't normally sticky two polls, but I think this is an important question to ask as well.

You all know how I voted.

I see I'm voting with the majority.

I am gona get a copywrite symbol...

Even though I like Mypoints.....please dont shoot me.......make the most of this gals......I DO NOT like that everyone was forced to join. I DO NOT like the conversion ratio.

But this is what it is - we either move forward and accept the change or move onward.

But I have voted with the majority since this was forced and has created alot of issues.

Brandi, please don't think anyone will shoot you for liking MyPoints. As a read through the posts here I'm starting to see a pattern. Some people already had an account with them and don't mind or even have a bit of fun with MyPoints. No problem if you choose to go there -- I can see why it would be kind of fun for people who enjoy that sort of thing. Those of us who aren't members or were and didn't like it are the ones who are mad, but not at you or anyone else on the Agent side of things -- we certainly don't blame you for Shitola! LOL!

Welp...I love MyPoints...yep I said it....it's easy, I don't bother with offers, just a few clicks a day on bonus email and I've got points.

That's ok Cat, we'll forgive you -- especially since it proves my point about people already in MP not minding nearly as much as people who aren't.

My main problem is the sudden loss of 40% of the value of my BzzPoints. So far, I don't have an opinion about MyPoints one way or the other. I don't know anything about them. But I do know I got screwed on the value of what I'd worked for.

Karen, I'll give you that. I'm not all daisies and sunshine about the change, but my glass is half full...today anyways.

It's that "few clicks a day" thing about the emails that gets me. No offense to anyone here, so please don't take it that way. On dial-up, there is no such thing as "a few clicks a day" - what takes others minutes can take me an hour or better. *sigh*

I know everyone thinks we harp on this dial up thing, but its like a fax machine vs email. with the fax machine hanging up on every 3rd joke.

And No, I dont think the world should bow down to us because we are speed deficiant, but at the same time, we shouldnt be treated like second class citizens either.

I think this is worse than the last system.

Back in the day when I first started bzzing, points were easier, prizes better and easier.

This sucks.

I was saving up points for something good. Now, if I'm lucky I'll end up with a couple of CVS gift cards.

I voted for the "shitola" myself. Now it really angers me I didn't have the chance to get my toaster and egg poacher. Seems like a small thing to many- but dang it- I wanted it!! I do not want gift cards to restaurants where I have to spend additional money to feed my family. Everyone to their own opinion- I won't attempt to change yours so please don't attempt to change mine.

Well we get all the pollen and make all the Honey and the dam Queen Bee sells it and gives us gift cards and wants more pollen to make honey.

I didn't mind it going to Mypoints (well except for the conversion factor as well), until I searched through the rewards, and could only find 2 that were good in Canada. I'm hoping I'm wrong there, and that there are more but I'm not holding my breath there.

I thought there was gonna be real prizes.. This makes it not fair for people that doesn't like/use mypoints!

Hey Aurora, just curious, which ones are okay for Canada? I tried to find one and couldn't. I hope things change but I don't hold much hope either. *Sigh*

Nichellelp - The ones I found were for Home Depot and Pier 1. They both say in their description for US and Canada. I haven't had a chance to check them all yet. Right now, I don't have a Pier 1 where I live, so I'ld have to redeem for Home Depot GCs if I can't find anything else. They used to have GiftCertificates.ca (you redeemed for a giftpass, then cashed the giftpass out on the GiftCertificates.ca site), and you could choose from a lot of businesses. I'm sort of hoping that they just ran out of those, and they will be back, but again, I doubt it.

I hope that they just ran out because that sounds great! But I must assume that there is nothing for me. Sigh. Otherwise I will cry...

I'd signed up with MyPoints a few years ago and didn't like it then, still don't and that won't change unless they become considerably more Canuck friendly (and do something about the ridiculously high number of points you need to be able to redeem for even low value GCs)!

I am going to wait until the whole thing is over before casting my vote. I understand there are still more changes coming with all of this, correct?

If I did have to cast a vote today, it would be "eh, sawrite".
