That's our little family.
Fred was 51 when we met.
He never had any children or stepchildren (I'm wifey #2 for him)
When we got engaged the girls weren't living with me yet.
When he married me he got ALOT more than he bargained for.
The girls call him Poppa....he's the only Dad they know.
He's a saint (when he's not being an ass) LOL

Don't mean to sound nosy (okay, I am), but since you said the girls weren't living with you when you were engaged, does that mean they're from a previous marriage, or you adopted them?

They are my grandaughters.
My youngest daughter gave birth to them.
I'm trying to think of her reason....she's wasn't capable of being a mother at the time.
It wasn't due to substance abuse, that I could understand, she'd just an idiot. LOL

She named her oldest one after me, "Lil Scarlett".
I named the baby Serenity as in the Serenity prayer

aah grandbabies... they are darling... and as for her reason, if she is/was a teen at the time, well then that's probably the reason why.... they don't need a reason for anything they do, or well, "just because" ... glad they've got a caring grandmama to watch over them.
