Weird, I was a BzzAgent in April, yet I heard nothing of this rewards round. Was I oblivious? Or was it not shown to the lowly?

Re: New BL Entry -- BLOG PARTY!!!
You mean that you had never heard of the rewards system being changed or that there was livestock involved? I guess both discussions took place on the blog.celg wrote:Lucky wrote:Weird, I was a BzzAgent in April, yet I heard nothing of this rewards round. Was I oblivious? Or was it not shown to the lowly?

Re: New BL Entry -- BLOG PARTY!!!
Tara at least deciding on which barnyard animal to get will keep you occupied until the rewards open up.
I think gift cards would be cool. That's about all my kids trust me to get them these days. Tho I must say that mom does know their taste in clothes and does a very good job at choosing them. Cripes, I sort/wash/fold them often enough and they think I sleepwalk through it? OK, maybe that wasn't a good example.

Re: New BL Entry -- BLOG PARTY!!!
For April fool's day, they posted a hoax about their CEO retiring and selling the company, got everyone into a big panic, then suddenly started offering rewards on all the campaigns. Lots of people cashed in for some great prizes (ipods and more) which sadly I did not get. Then the next day the rewards were not just gone, but the rewards program in it's entirety was gone.
Thus began the waiting for Shalulee.

Herd? herd? I said nothing about a herd! I want A goat, well maybe two I plan to have the cat protect them both... she is
As for rides, I would need a camel to seperate the kids with humps- much less fighting that way
Re: New BL Entry -- BLOG PARTY!!!
I knew they had campaign rewards, but none ever showed up on my campaign at the time. I think one time I caught a glimpse of a troll, thought that's useless, and went on. Never saw anything again. I had seen the April Fool's thing about him leaving (although I didn't really know who he was, but I caught he was the CEO, and that it was a joke). I never heard of those quick Buzz rounds you talked of, nor any rewards. Silly me, I thought my Sonic toothbrush sanitizer was as big a reward as I'd see, and I was VERY happy when the Harmony One remote came my way. But no, I had no clue on rewards, and I have been an agent since Sept. 07.

A camel would be cool... quite a bit bigger than a llama though. I hear the Aussies are being over run with camels so you might be able to get one cheap.
Re: New BL Entry -- BLOG PARTY!!!
It should be a two hump camel, and I still think I might need a goat to keep him company.
Re: New BL Entry -- BLOG PARTY!!!
I want pony, and a sandwich maker, and a blender, and and and....the list could go on. I am just hoping I can get something decent with my bazillions of points.

Re: New BL Entry -- BLOG PARTY!!!
Well tara if a 2 hump camel and a goat comes up...I don't think you will have many agents vieing for the same prize, so there's a good chance you will get it if you have enough points.

Re: New BL Entry -- BLOG PARTY!!!
Lucky's right -- Tara, you should have no problems. I think my llama will be popular though.
Re: New BL Entry -- BLOG PARTY!!!
okay, I skimmed.
I was cleaning out, and refilling 2 fish tanks while I did it, so there is water everywhere. LOL
Here is what I think
The only thing that will be avalible to us from bzzagetn is the golden key.
They are hopeing that lots of folks wont use their points, that means they can say "only 8000 of our 400,000 agents are worried about rewards. " But truth be told 392,000 agents are dead. EIther fiqureativly or literly.
we will be sent to the new place with all but 200 points to pick out what we want.
I guess its not bad, all in all. There are issues I dont know if I will like or not, but all in all, if we have a decent ratio of points to prizes it will be nice. If we are having to use 14,000 points for a 'book bag' (aka polling point) then it will NOT be worth it. Simply because we dont get but 30 per report.
also, I would like a cut off date on reports. I know why they wont do it. I'd just like to know
Also, i cant rememebr what else.. But I am due at baseball.
See y'al later!

you know what's really funny, about 2 years ago, my SO and i were looking for a place to live closer to my work. We found a house that I really liked, and it would have worked with my traveling. But upon investigating the neighborhood, there were 2 things that I said no way. We would live about 3 blocks from a State Jail... and another is the neighbors had a goat. I couldn't let my son play in the yard knowing that 2 bad things can happen. Get kidnapped by an escapee or bit by a goat. And mind you, this is in the middle of a small city. No farms for miles!!!
Re: New BL Entry -- BLOG PARTY!!!
LOL! But would you have moved there if they had a llama? I think we all know the answer is yes.

Re: New BL Entry -- BLOG PARTY!!!
I really hope that as a reward maybe I can get an ipod. I have wanted one sooo bad! Anyone got an extra they want to sell?? I am serious! lol
But if they are GC to some stores, if there is nothing aimed at me (ie: clothes, make-up, books, music) then I hope to goodness gracious that I can get cool stuff for my son. His birthday is coming up, and with the party we are planning, I can put more cash into that then gifts. not that I cut him out on anything, but just want to make sure he can have a great time, instead of a good time. :-)

If they had a pony, I think I could deal with the escaping fugitives.... but not a llama, I hate even going near them at the Pumpkin farm! or even zoo!

Re: New BL Entry -- BLOG PARTY!!!
Do you suppose the site will crash as we all log on in hopes of really getting something for the points? I would at this po9int settle for any animal that grazes to keep our lawn trimmed until hubby is well enough to do it. However, it must mesh well with our "Fur kid".

We live within 30 miles of two state prisons. One is a Supermax, or the highest security they have in this state. I always figure I'm probably less at risk than a lot of people, because if inmates get out, they're gonna want to get as far away from here as possible!

Re: New BL Entry -- BLOG PARTY!!!
awwww Missy,
My husband used to work at a prison, he was a sgt for about 12 years. I used to sit in the parking lot at 10 at night and wait on him to get off work. I would sit there with a flashlight, a book, and have the windows down reading till he got off work. And being close is about the safest you can be LOL
I live with in a 30 mile radius of 2 prisons. and 2 jails.
and I used to raise goats. I got them before I had kids, and I would take my kids to the barn. I had a 55 gallon drum that I cut in half. I would put the kids down in it and the goat kids would run all over them, nibble on them, take their food. LOL
I started taking them out there when they were really small. (in a stroller when they were teeny) I also had an excersauser and a walker out there, I would put a kid in them sometimes too. My kids played with those goats (I had well over 100 nannies, and minimum of 100 babies, and over 25 at a time would be bottle babies. ) daily. for hours. Cause I spent HOURS in the barn.
They even at 3 and 4 helped me birth babies, cleaned off newborns, bottle fed them. They were so helpful.
I miss those days..

Re: New BL Entry -- BLOG PARTY!!!
OH I remember my other concern. I am afraid that the swamp is going to be a whole lot more 'important' in the new system than they are letting on.
And for me that really sucks. Think of it this way. I dont have an airboat. I have a deep bottom aluminum boat. that means that I cant just skim over all the stumps and shallow ends, running 50 miles an hour. Instead I have to get out, pick up my heavy ass boat and tote it through the gator infested waters. with big ole hip waders on.
PLus, I just dont get off on it. But I am afraid its going to hurt me alot cause I am so resistant to it.

Re: New BL Entry -- BLOG PARTY!!!
Well, at the time, I was not too happy. We drove around the neighborhood and I loved the house, but it was not too good of a neighborhood.
But I come to find out, just recently, that the jail that we would have lived by is an older one that they have very few inmates, due to the transfer to the newer jail. Plus, I guess they film some tv shows there, or used to. But this is just WOM that I heard, saw or read nothing to confirm... anyone hear of Prison Break??
But, I am glad we didn't move there, being that things in our life had changed and the move as far as it was, would have been for naught. And I may not have moved to where I am now. And this is a much nicer neighborhood, and house for that! Love my neighbors! Perfect to bzz to! ;-)
My Aunt is a Cook County Sheriff here in IL for Cook County Jail. She was a baliff for the R. kelly trial when it first started. Wonder if she is there for the new one...lol
But back to topic on hand! ha ha (2 am my time, I should really go to bed....)
I missed the round of April Madness. I just happened to get my internet a week too late! hmph... BUT I am really curious what they will have to offer now. Gift cards are good, I always look at them as great gifts. being that I am one of the pickiest people ever, if I get a gift card, I am never one of those people offended. I hate getting a piece of clothing as a gift because honestly, I am probably gonna exchange it for something I really like. I never return for cash, no I exchange for equal or more value.
So, if there are clothing retails, cool. Books, music, games and DVD's, even better!

I just keep dreaming about Amazon gift cards. I know I don't need more books, but I sure would like to have some.
I don't think that I would get an ipod even if i could...I like to hear the sounds around me... music is for sometimes...for me.
