Busy busy busy

I have been struggling to write up bzz reports.. I am so busy..
My daughters reception is in a week, and I have to bake..
I had to get my hair cut.. It was getting out of hand..
I have to shampoo and groom my dog... a mani-pedi on wednesday
( the things I do to please my daughter)
and I have to exchancge the outfit I bought for the event, due to the denture diet..
( yay?) yes.. yay They had to order it for me but got it wrong last week....and had to order again

then today, my laptop seemed to break..
in the past couple of months.. I have had to cobble together two toshibas to make one good one.. and they are
less than two years old... bah! this time it was the charger...last time it was the light for the monitor..
that was a pia!

I can't wait to see my kids.. this will be the first mothers day since 1990 I have been with all four of them!

In between I have dental appts and work .. the students art show had to be hung, and tomorrow we take it down..
before the kids get in..

and I have to go and get duncan a new collar and lease

I am weary... so If I am not here as often in the next week and a half..

I leave next wednesday night... I will take my ASUS with me so I can check in... but it won't happen a lot...

Wow you are busy Kath, I'm glad you will get to be with your kids for mothers day! At least your getting a new outfit isn't in the other direction, lol. Are you all set with your dentures yet? I hope your not still in pain:(

Dh was home this week which made twice the work around here for me! I have to work a 10 hour shift tonight, try to get some sleep tomorrow, get another couple of loads of laundry through in there somewhere, and it's back to work (only 8 hours though!) tomorrow night again. I wish my lottery numbers would hurry up and come through!

Oh Kath! That is a big week. I hope things settle down soon after, though. Meanwhile, we'll miss you!

Wow, you are as busy as I am. I have tomorrow free though, if you could call it free. I need to clean house, catch up on laundry( the OCD thing again...)DD has a ball game on Saturday, we are remodeling, and building an outdoor building/poolhouse thing. Tearing down the old one.

Ack! the laundry! I have been switching out the summer and winter clothes.. a box of tops was eluding me.. I have fair amount of laundry left to do...thanks to DH but nothing more than I expected.

I hate having manicures and pedicures.. hate to try to sit still...and do nothing.

Dan will not be home to help me with the dog. He signed up for a couple of doubles. Because he refuses to fix the drain in the floor of the basement, I have to lift Duncan into the wsh tups.. he is heavy.. about 70 pounds... then I have to trim him up a bit.

yes! I am glad that I have lost weight.. so far it is easy to not eat much, it does still hurt, but not as bad, and I can eat more things. I actually tried to ignore the pain and eat some whole grain pretzels last night... lol.. bad idea. I have an appt today for an adjustment and one tuesday morning. just in case.


I can hardly wait to get together will all of my kids.. fabulous!

OH! and i have to remember to plug in my Garmin and get updated maps...

I saved change for 3 years to get that thing, and ten minutes after I bought it GPS prices dropped dramatically. Sigh. Timing is everything.

Add * go to police station and get car radio that some little punk stole out my car * to my list of things to do! Teenage punk is lucky the police caught him, and not DH or me.
Hope those Hannah Montana CD's were worth it to him.

sounds like fun kath. getting new clothes, getting all dolled up. --take a book, bring your cell phone and catch up with friends, (a few shops I have been in didnt want to talk, or didnt speak english.) get a sleep mask, chill it before you go and then set back and relax. -- and can you slath on some orajel and grab a quick snack? or is it the bones that hurt?

This has been a VERY relaxing week for me. I have done almost nothing. 10 loads of laundry(I wonder where all the dirty clothes are stuck...), 2 baseball games, two PTA days (yearbook, and mothers day cards), one day at the grocery store, one mini trip and tomorrow I get to go to the NRA banqet and auction! So today after Bretts carnival at school and before Matts game I am gona get a hair cut! LOL

Chelle is the banquet in Bmt? We are supposed to go to one tomorrow night also.....weird?
We might go, depends on how long the game runs tomorrow.

Edbson, nope, here in Jasper.. but that sucks, if y'all are having one too yours will be bigger andyou will get the good auctioneer!! NOT FAIR!!

OH NO!! ours is a blast. catered BBQ, all the fixins, auctions that raise tens of thousands, lots of BEAUTIFUL stuff. This year I cant buy anything. Usually we buy a print. I have gotten some beautiful prints. And all the beer you can drink! LOL This year I cant even buy raffle tickets.. Year before last I racked up though Last year I did decent. THey sell tickets at the door, you should just drive down here it starts at 6:30-7.

I can't do anything now, I had to detour to the school and pick up DD. She claims she is sick, but I see no evidence.
Dh has informed me that tunnel boat races are way more important than a dumb old banquet, and I do have to agree...

LOL! I havent seen tunnel boat races. But being the old fuddy duddies we are we go to two places a year (not even movies, dancing, nothing) the NRA and WTF Banquets.. I actually save money each year for us to go. I just had to use it all this year on deisel. LOL

Kath, if there's one thing I've learned about you from this board is that your a survivor... you manage to get thru difficult situations and make the best of them.

I'm pretty sure that by the time you go (is the wedding the 10th?), you'll be eating salads, chomping those pretzels, and anything else. But, now that you've lost weight (yeah! new clothes) you might want to pick and choose your foods carefully... Even after having eaten 3 meals a day in restaurants for 5 days, I'm happy to say, I only gained one pound, which I've since shed since returning home.

I've just learned to eat everything I want, just smaller portions...

And remind me (us) again, where is the wedding? I remember from a very early post of yours that it's a long drive away with dh and your darling pooch...

And what's gonna make that manicure and pedicure worth while is that you'll be with your entire family for the first time in way too long.

lol.... true dee... I am a survivor... what you heard is is just a very small part..
but its okay.. what doesn't kill ya etc..
I went in for him to fix a bad spot today and he screwed up the lower one.. BAD ..
I may have to go and have new liners put in before I go and that would not be good.
I am so upset. I cannot eat anything .. I can't even eat this kiwi..

The wedding was in St Lucia, and the reception.. where I will be going is in Charlotte NC

She sent me some pics ... I am trying to pry them out of my email now so I can load them to my blog.. but they are being stubborn.. can;t get them into my pictures with any of the tricks I know..

still working in it.. she is gorgeous of course..not that I am in an way biased.....lol

Sorry about the adjustment that didn't go well. I don't know about the liner, I'm thinking some kind of cushy pad. I have nothing like that. But do recall one adjustment usually led to a knew sore spot, but eventually we got it right. And you will too, hopefully before you take off for the trip.

Now you get to working on those photos, and as soon as you have them uploaded, let us know... I love photos.

Although all the photos I took last weekend are still sitting on my camera...
