Oh, we should have our own Box O' Crap contests! I'll volunteer to box up some of my crap for the winner, assuming it's not me. Are we allowed to know physical addresses? Or should it be a box of virtual crap... online coupons and links to stupid you tube posts? What do you think?

LOL! I bet our box of crap would be better than BzzAgent's! Giving out street addresses is completely up to the people involved. A virutal box of crap would probably be the most comfortable for most people at this stage of the board's development though.

A virtual box of crap it is! One week from today Rebecca can pick the winner (and maybe next time around another mod can take a turn so she can have a chance to win). The box of virtual crap will contain 3 or 4 links to my kid's favorite you tube posts, a digital snapshot that my husband took (suitable for screensaving or wallpaper or the trash can), a couple of free internet coupons, and a anything else that looks fun. I'll PM it to the winner, so I won't even need their e-mail. We could also award them for catching BzzCheats, too. (I refuse to use the term pest, because they throw it around to scare innocent worker bees as well.) And if I win, someone can send me an equivalent box.

when and if the time comes I dont have a problem putting my physical mail up on the board. Its all over the net anyway Smile

and instead of anyone having to pick the winner, we can each submit one, for say a week, then put up a poll to pick those that we felt were the best. ???

What do you think the criteria for being selected winner will be? Random drawing? The person who posts earliest on a given day? What color hair? Ahh, the possibilities are endless..... flower

How about if I sticky this thread, leave it up for a week, then put all the answers into a poll for everyone to vote on?
I don't mind if people want to PM me their address, the problem is that I'm in Canada and the box 'o' crap is in Kentucky. So, the winner could either PM their address to thebigscott or request a virutal box or I could hunt around here for crap to send.

I was just figuring the winner was the one that made us laugh the hardest. However it's chosen is fine. I picked Rebecca as judge because she's the board administrator. I figured she'd rotate with the moderators so as to spread the work. Having one person pick the winner seemed like less work, but I don't have any idea in reality. However Rebecca would like to set it up is fine with me. The perks of a virtual box is that there's no shipping, so I could do several with no cost to myself. Of course the perks of a real package is that you can get actual stuff. If we go the virtual route, I have no problem doing one a week. If we go the real package route, I don't have the budget for that many. More like one every 3 months or so.

Budget would be an issue. And anyone getting something from me runs the risk of getting a snarky customs agent who zings them for duty. I say we go with virtual for now!

Just a note that I split this from the submission thread just to keep confusion to a minimum!

Perfect, Rebecca. I started to post this on the other thread then realized. Anyhow, I was gonna say that I'm a pretty good bargain hunter so even if the box is virtual, I should be able to include a link to a freebie or two and you'd get something in the mail eventually.

I tend to agree that the virtual box is "free" (except for the time for the one filling the e-box), and it has a lot less hurdles (no customs, no one individual getting sock for out reach postal prices - and there is an increase coming in May)

Rebecca, your idea of collecting and sorting and creating some sort of poll for all to vote sounds like a good "sound" plan...
