First day of school, second time around

Zoe is in her preschool right now! This is her first day, since she missed last week because of being sick. She was SO proud, insisting on wearing her backpack even though it was overloaded with all her supplies. Scott took her picture. Zaven and Caly walked her to class. It was "big doin's".

Whoo-Hoo Karen!! I am glad she was excited!!

Glad it went so well! We met Devon's teacher this morning and Devon starts class tomorrow. His teacher seems really nice and is actually X-military like Mike and I! LOL! I think Devon will like him -- he's usually very shy, but did work up the nerve to ask him about the other kids in his class.

Glad she was excited. I am sacred to death Saige (who is very excited now) is going to change her mind between now and Thursday. She meets her teacher tonight, man the whole thing gives me indigestion, I have successfully not thought about it all summer long but I no longer have that option

I did the same thing Tara -- I didn't think about it at all aside from the day we shopped for supplies and then it was sort of in my face this AM. Today was ok, tomorrow will be tougher though!

I just keep telling myself no crying until AFTER the bus pulls away...... I almost cried last week at orientation. I am not a crying type of person so hubby got a kick out of it.

Timmy starts September 11th- next Thursday. He is excited to see his teacher again.. I am nervous. Tim will be going with me that first day to drop him off and pick him up. Teacher says it's okay if we stayed for a bit, but I know Tim, he will want me to leave right away, cause if I stay, I will never leave. lol

Well, Zoe had a great time, near as I can tell. She says there are mean boys in her class (which I have a hard time imagining any kid much meaner than she is). And she told us that she didn't have breakfast there. I asked what she had for breakfast. She said she told the teacher that she was so hungry but they told her that you can't eat in school. I asked if she had a drink. She said no, they don't let the kids drink. She was so thirsty but they wouldn't give her a drink. I asked if she drank milk. She said no, she poured it on her cereal and only drank the orange juice. "I drank from a straw and went slurp! Slurp! SLURP!" My baby has a bit of a dramatic streak!
